Taqueria La Mexicana

Probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. Luckily we live nearby and this is my one cheat meal every week that I look forward to. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. My go to is the barbacoa Burrito. Usually more than I can eat in one sitting so it gives me two meals with one purchase.

This place is great! Everything is super authentic. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to make sure your food is perfect. I highly recommend eating in, so you can enjoy the fresh unlimited salsas.

I had the cheese, potatoes, and egg breakfast burrito. It was very substantial and filling, but very much on the drier side. However, that’s where the unlimited salsas come in, and I completely drenched my food in the salsa roja and verde. Be warned, they are not kidding with the spice levels.

Not at the same time though, that would be too crazy 😝.

We come here embarrassingly often—3 to 4 times a week—and it’s because this taqueria is that good. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent, and the quality never disappoints. The staff are some of the friendliest, most professional, and genuinely hard-working people we’ve met. The place is always spotless, and the service is top-notch.

They go above and beyond for every customer, and I’ve especially appreciated how kind and accommodating they’ve been to my visually impaired friend—helping with his order and offering assistance without ever making it feel like a burden. This is hands-down one of our favorite spots, and they’ve earned every bit of our loyalty.

Taqueria La Mexicana is hands-down one of the best gems in Mountain House. Wow…I just left this place. As a mountain house resident I must say I am very disappointed. I always go to the ones in tracy and have never had a problem. The people who work in Mountainhouse are incompetent, rude, and don’t know how to run a business. I’d recommend to everyone reading this stay far away from this business and go get Mexican food somewhere else. Whoever was working today is not deserve a job there. Beware residence.

Have been going to this place for many months now. The restaurant used to be good. However the quality of service, food and staff has gone down.

Ordered a takeout only to wait 30 minutes while people after me takeout/dine-in got their food. Then the staff at the counter was rude and not helpful. When I tried to cancel the order made be wait another 15 min.

My family and I love this place! Whenever we’re short on time but still want a great meal, this is our go-to spot. The service is fast, the food is delicious, and the quality is always reliable. The drinks are great too. Highly recommend!

WOW! A nice surprise. I tried this place as I was craving some Gringo-Mexican food and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the ingredients and the fresh taste. Everything I ordered was delicious and properly prepared. The Burritos and beef topped nachos were so good and tasty that I had write this review so others know about it. Very good food and really nice service. The place is a casual restaurant but very clean and inviting.
Definitely happy with my meal.

Love this place been going here for a decade and my favorite is hands down the California quesadilla but recently they changed it to replace the sliced avocados with guacamole which is really disappointing please don’t do it and bring back the avocado!
