Came here for lunch. Super fresh and tasty cabrito asado just like in Monterrey. Super gracious hosts Francisco and his wife. My son snd I ordered tacos de cabrito, tacos de machito, seasoned with their homemade salsas and chopped cilantro and onion. Also the great consomme ( w very spicy special salsa) is a highly recommended complement to the tacos. Try the excellent jasmine iced tea too.All in all, go!! Super high quality, tasty, fresh and delicious. Friendly owners.

???????? COAHUILA MÉXICO (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - In Southern California right now, there is no other place for the public to come for this type of experience. Folks in places like Muscoy have undoubtedly done this at their own homes for special occasions, but thanks to El Lagunero now anyone in nearby places can come on weekends. These types of celebrations are much more common in Texas, which is basically an extension of Coahuila and Nuevo León. The cabrito and machito you see roasting are the only things on the menu, just in different forms. You can of course have tacos of either, large flautas, enormous tortas, or big bowls of cabrito en consomé. No matter what you choose, portions are more than generous so bring as many friends as you can and try everything.

We had an incredible meal today on the way back from Joshua Tree. Make sure you stop here on the way to/ from the desert!They are the only spot in California that roasts a whole goat. The meat was incredibly tender and delicious. We got flautas, quesadillas and stew. Lots of food!! Come hungry!! And all at a great price. The service was exceptional. They took such great care of us and their attention to detail is impeccable. The restaurant is hidden in a lot that sells tires. It was really fun. 5 STARS!!!
