The Riverfront Cafe is fine and Cindy who runs the restaurant is great! But any 5 star review for the park is complete BS. The couple that run the park are Slumlords. Just drive around and check out the disrepair. No rules, no security, no upkeep.

The restaurant is right on the river with patio seating in good weather. Sandwiches, burgers, pizza and salads. Not an exciting menu for dinner. Everything is from the frozen food section from the Kringle French fries to the fish and chicken. I had the chicken salad. What a mess! It was a good size chicken cutlet dropped on top of a salad. It was tough work trying to cut the chicken balanced on top of the salad. The tomatoes were sliced on the side so another struggle to cut those. There was very little lettuce. Would not recommend this. Two of our party ordered the chicken wings. They said they were good but too much sauce made them a mess to eat. Our forth member ordered a pizza. He asked for a small but they only had one size-large. Most grocery store pizzas r better.

We arrived at Rainbo RV park on a Friday evening, and left on a Sunday morning - and to be honest, we felt unsafe after only a few hours and wished we’d left upon arrival. First, trying to call to make a reservation was painful - it took 10 calls to try to get a live person, and when I finally reached someone live 4 weeks ahead of time they said just call a week before and they’d tell me my “space” for my RV. I then called a week before (again 10 times to get a live person), was assigned an RV spot and told to just check in at the office upon arrival. The next week we arrived on time and found no one at the office - we then pulled to our “spot” and found it occupied by another RV. Another camper nearby suggested we just take another spot saying “everyone does it” so ok, we found a spot nearby and pulled in. As this was during COVID pandemic times(October 2020), we were wearing our masks - no one else however was wearing a mask. After we set up our RV, we took a look at our surroundings and noticed the mobile homes on the ledge above the RV section - and they in turn, were intently watching us. Not sure why we were of such interest to them, but as they were not wearing masks, and we were wearing masks, it seemed we didn’t fit in. They were playing loud music and shouting and pointing at us, and waving Trump flags, which lasted until midnight. Frankly, we didn’t feel safe. The next day we kept by ourselves by sitting on the small beach near our RV. Unfortunately loud speed boats, and Trump flag ‘boat parades’ kept us from fully relaxing, but we did our best to enjoy some family time. For dinner we thought we would support the restaurant on property (as we could see they had an outdoor patio which they could, and did, serve food to their patrons). I went in to the restaurant with my mask on to inquire if my family and I could have a table on their patio, and the bartender looked at me, said that “she would ask” and then avoided returning to me for 10 minutes. She wasn’t wearing a mask, neither were any of the wait staff, cooks, or patrons, and it was obvious that I wasn’t welcome as I was a ‘mask wearer’. As I couldn’t get service at the restaurant, we went back to our RV and cooked dinner - all while worrying that the RV park wasn’t safe for us and for our family. In summary, While the view across the River from Rainbo RV park was nice, I wouldn’t particularly recommend Rainbo nor Needles in general. It’s not family friendly, not safe during pandemic times, nor friendly to anyone with beliefs different from their own.

The pizza there was amazing, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I don't like thin pizza I like deep dish, the deeper the better but...This crust was super thin and with a thin layer of cheese. That sounds bad to my ears, but wow... It blew me away. Something about the way they melded together into something far far better than either alone. No idea how they did it, but they created a piece of art with that pizza. I look forward to going back just for that pizza.
