This is certainly one of the most pleasant restaurants in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am extremely glad. They manage their high level service and the topmost level of dishes they offer. You no doubt will love this place. Highly recommended.

What a great little family restaurant! We've always wanted to try this when passing through, but it was always on days they were closed. Fernando and his mother, Jesse, 82, are very gracious and serve up great food. The Chili Relleno was excellent. I had a chili verde tostada which was a first for Fernando as he would normally serve up a pork tostada. I like tostadas "wet" and this did not disappoint. They are closed from mid June till December, summers are just too hot, says Fernando. Well return early April and time it so we can visit them again.

What a find! Friendly family place worth the drive off the highway. Delicious home cooked food the way I remember Mexican food tasting growing up in Southern California. I hope we can come back some day!

Ordered the #17 and 2 flour pork tacos. A lot of restaurants say they make their chili rellenos fresh. This place does.

Good food! The overly attentive service staff pretty much checked on everybody took to make sure the meal was still good. I like good service but I did try to let them know I was going to be fine until I finish my meal. I think you get what I'm saying. I have the two enchilada meal with rice and beans and it was really good!!! I love authentic Mexican Cuisine and this was the real deal. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back. Highly recommend! They tried to get me to have a piece of pie for dessert but I was full. They're pretty proud of their pies there. :)

Wow - can't say enough good things about this place. First off, phenomenal, authentic Mexican food! We had shredded beef crunchy tacos and chili verde with rice and beans. Best I've had and I've eaten a lot of great Mexican food. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Second, the history of the place is adorable and fun to learn about. Third, the owner and family are truly amazing. Please, please take the time to stop by and visit!

Let's just start by saying YUM!! Small quaint little place with delicious food made fresh by the 82 year old owner. Doesn't get more authentic than that. I ordered green Chile con carne plate and my husband ordered Chile rellenos, rice and beans. The Chile rellenos were made fresh after they were ordered. Everything was excellent, i highly recommend. Fernando (our server) was friendly, efficient and helpful. We both got a complimentary slice of cake after our meals. Thank you, we WILL be back.

Appears closed for business. As I was walking away the grandson of the original owner drove up. Said they may open back up soon. Been closed since June according to a sign in the window.
