Bagdad Café is a legendary Route 66 stop with a cinematic soul. It was made famous by the 1987 cult German-American film of the same name. This roadside diner offers a slice of cinematic history filled with memorabilia, signatures from global travelers, and a warm and welcoming vibe. The decor is delightfully eccentric with business cards on the walls, vintage photos, and a jukebox that still hums with desert charm. Whether you're a movie buff, a road tripper, or just...
The place thrilled me, obviously after watching the movie I loved, but unfortunately it gave me the impression of being run by people who have no love for this place. The place is rather neglected and messy, bathrooms "out of order", no proposal for something to eat, only drinks, I would say a little 'for those who take a detour into the desert.
A must see and must meet on Route66. For those who have seen the film this place brings a funny melancholy. For those who did not see the film is ts just a great place full of memories. We had an interesting and moving conversation with the people that run the place. They deserve our admiration and support.
