This has been our go-to place for decades. All the way through Covid, and way before. Walking in, I recall anniversaries, Mothers' Days, Christmas Eves, birthdays and other celebrations we've spent here with loved ones, many of them no longer with us. That's not all that makes Modo Mio special with us. There was the time we had been hiking and came in dusty and sweaty, found a place at the corner in the bar and had one of our most memorable meals. We have eaten at Modo Mio in the past and have been quite pleased with our experience. However, this most recent experience was not what we remembered. Food was not as flavorful and the service seemed a bit distracted. May have just been an off night.
Food was great, restaurant was very loud. I was disappointed in the service, because I had informed the restaurant that we were coming for a special occasion- our daughter's graduation. We also told the manager and the server when we were seated. My daughter had a few graduation balloons that we brought and tied it to her chair. Not only was nothing special done, no one even said congratulations to her. Even if they had brought her a Shirley Temple, we would have been pleased....
