Great breakfast place, love the beignets here more than Disneyland. Service was great! Will definitely come back.
We went for breakfast. Wonderful atmosphere. Surrounded by beach and ocean views. Interesting menu. Lots to choose from. Delicious food. Great service.
Iconic breakfast-and-lunch spot with a diverse menu and a gorgeous beach view. We had a great experience and can't wait to come back.
Cute little place for food on the beach, but you do have to pay for parking. Also, please ask your server about the meal items. We ordered the beignets are wonderful , we then shared the short rib hash, very misleading title it pretty much is beef stew with two eggs on top and a piece of bread .. really look at the reviews on Google. Maybe some people will post pictures before you order other than that cute place restroom is not within inside the building. You have to do a little short walk
We arrived just before sunset and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on top of their great service and delicious food. Every bite was worthy of praise.
Location is incredible. RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Food and service were top notch. I highly recommend the mini ahi taco appetizer.
The food was great. The issue was that there were four of us and three of us got our meal at the same time. The last meal was delivered about 15 minutes later. Not acceptable. The three of us waited for quite a bit until our food started getting cold and the fourth person insisted on us going ahead and eating. All we got was I'm sorry. Not acceptable. It wasn't the servers fault but still a manager should have come over and said something...disappointing to say the least.
The Beachcomber is an outstanding place to eat. We were able to sit in the outdoor area, overlooking the tide flats. Our server, Rosa was very good; the food excellent (I really enjoy the Kobe burger and my wife loves the Mahi Mahi Tacos); there's no rush, no noise above the surf and plenty of room.
We always enjoy eating at Beachcomer especially when out of town guests visit us. The setting is like no other and is right on the beach. Food is great! Service is outstanding! It is so easy when you can make a reservation.
Crystal Cove is a jewel on the coast of Southern California. Beautiful historical setting. The cafe is a perfect place to celebrate family and friends. The service is impeccable. The food is great.

Visited out of state and the ambiance was amazing on a sunny day. Food was yummy and for the price, well well worth it. For price and ambiance, gets 100/10 for me!
Really nice environment and beautiful view. A little hard to get to, but worth all the logistics.
Since you asked, here goes. We haven't been here for a couple years, and it has now become a real racket. It used to be that your parking ticket was validated when you spent at least $15 at the restaurant, and the two minute bus ride from the parking lot to the restaurant was free. Now you're charged $5/hour to park, plus a service charge plus tax. We chose to take the 5 minute walk to the restaurant, but the bus ride is now $2 per person per way, so an additional $8 if you care to ride. What a turnoff! We ordered an artichoke as an appetizer, which is what we always order at any restaurant which offers that, and it was the worst we have ever been served! Under steamed/grilled and tasteless. Real tough. We sent it back after a couple bites. We've never done that before. I did give an additional star from one to two because the chicken was very good. Sea bass was just okay. Overall, sadly a pretty disappointing night. It will be a long time before we ever visit this place again.
Another beautiful day on the beach at the Beachcomber! Request seating on the boardwalk and dine down the walk from the restaurant under umbrellas and steps from the beach! Menu is a bit pricey but you are paying for the view as well. Food is of excellent quality with ample portions. Fried Chicken Sandwich was delicious with a large chicken breast that was perfectly cooked and topped with a crunchy coleslaw and delicious sauce. My friend had a Spaghetti Squash dish presented as a pasta dish with wonderful tomato sauce and lots of interesting toppings (pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc). It's a little extra effort to get there as you need to park at the state park lot and take a shuttle to within walking distance of the beach and the restaurant, but it is well worth the effort! You will feel like you have stepped back in time as you approach the charming old Crystal Cove cottages that surround this gem of a beach.
The hostesses were unfriendly and rude when we arrived. Our server was slow to greet us, but once they did, the service improved and became much quicker. The food came out fast and was delicious. Management was actively walking around the restaurant checking in with guests to make sure everyone was satisfied.
