Spacious rooms, every staff member says hello and is eager to help, excellent food, phenomenal views. Good food, excellent service. We will continue to return. The golf courses are exceptional in terms of the topography and views. The driving range is grass and is free for unlimited use in the afternoons.

We rented a four bedroom villa for 4 adult couples for a week. The architecture, furnishings and grounds throughout the resort are exceptional. The villa was spacious and beautifully appointed with a lovely L shaped patio with a dining table and chairs and chaise lounges, all overlooking the golf course and Pacific ocean. If there was anything we wanted; additional bottled water, more towels, a spatula - they were cheerfully delivered within minutes. We cooked a few meals, ate at both the Coliseum restaurant and the Villa Clubhouse, and utilized Room Service. The staff is professional, warm and gracious. As a group of 8, we utilized the on-resort transportation numerous times and they were prompt and friendly, Housekeeping services were wonderful as well. We utilized the Spa and the Golf Course and experienced the same beautiful accommodations and over the top, warm service everywhere at Pelican Hill. We loved the Villa Clubhouse pool and restaurant as well. The concierge staff is wonderful. I don't know how they do it - there was absolutely nothing that we could complain about! Everyone was enthusiastically responsive, nice, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. None of us wanted to leave, and we all agreed that this is how we would like to live!

The entire grounds are breathtaking and the service in incredible. Our room was spacious with a king bed, sitting area, gas fireplace, along with a nice sized patio with two chaise chairs and a small table with two chairs. The bathroom is oversized with a large soaking tub, walk-in shower, two sinks, and a toilet closet with spray bidet. Our room had a lovely view of the ocean. There is a nice coffee shop off the lobby that also sells sandwiches, ice cream, bakery items, with lovely tables that over look the ocean and the golf course. The spa was very nice with a sauna, steam room, and oversized jacuzzi. It also had a very nice sitting room with hot tea and snacks, and the dressing rooms were well appointed with showers and all amenities you need to freshen up. The pool is beautiful and don't forget, they have another upstairs that faces the ocean for adults only. There is a very nice restaurant at the pool that services salads, sandwiches, and other fresh fair. Enjoy!!

It a great place to relax and eat.we went to coliseum bar and grill. The place has the biggest pool in the world. We took a 4 hour nap at the pool. Next, we went to PELICAN bar and grill and have a Gratiot dinner. I love the hot, tender grill chicken salad and hot ,sweet grill steak. The place has a great ocean view. It so gorgeous watching the sunset

Really nice place. The workers are very friendly and they make sure you are comfortable. Second time here and I love it. The villas are clean and spacious. Each room has its own bathroom so you don’t have to share. Washer and dryer if you want to do laundry before you go home. The pools are big g and inviting and the food is great!

I paid for an ocean view room and from the pictures you can see was non existent just a bunch of overgrown trees. For $900 a night you would think you would get a beautiful view. Also was charged a $55 a night resort fee not sure for what because the spa is closed, no gym and no daily housekeeping. We were also promised a $100 dining credit at check in but was only given $43 at check out. The explanation was that it’s before taxes, gratuities and service fees which our dining bill was much more than that. I’ve stayed at the Ritz, the Ranch at Laguna, Montage and all have been excellent! This place was subpar to say the least.

This was our first stay at a hotel since COVID began, and it was fantastic in every way. They take all the right precautions to make you feel safe. Outside of that, the property is beautiful, views amazing, every staff member we encountered was so friendly... they have it all put together. We were disappointed the nicer restaurants are still closed for dinner, but had a great breakfast and lunch at the Coliseum Grill. Can't wait to come back!

We did a small wedding at a 2 story villa. Great pictures of the bride descending the stairs. The back patio worked well for the ceremony for the couple and parents. The resort catered the lunch in the villa. Tasted great and it was gluten free.

Long overdue review - came here for 4 nights - it was so wonderful my wife and I tried to extend our stay (couldn't due to work issues) but we will be back. Have recommended this hotel to several friends, every one of them tell me how amazing it is. Definitely will be back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Pelican Hill. We had an ocean view bungalow that was nicely furnished and super clean. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We dined both in room and at the Coliseum Grill - both provided delicious meals and were efficient. Service was attentive and gracious. I can't think of anything that could have been better!

The Villas at Pelican Hill Resort is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my entire life. The resort is located on the Radiant Newport, California Coast. The Conciegre does an exceptional job with arrangements for the Pelican Hill Lux Villa. Pelican Hill is amazing! The villas are amazing! Michael from the front desk is amazing! The entire staff of Pelican Hill are so kind and helpful, from the gardeners to housekeeping. They didn’t just hand me a map and said “have a nice day”, they helped me find where I needed to go and offered to personally show me where to go. Michael is very kind and knows how to give guests that 5-star resort feeling! I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in and Michael greeting us right away and offering my sister and I a bottle of water. The checking in process was such a breeze. The fact that there was no line, Michael made sure we were taken care of with our requests for our room. I had booked an ocean view room and Michael MADE SURE we were satisfied with our view by showing us through his computer. He then went above and beyond to see how long the inspection of the room was going to take by calling his manager and having him rush the inspection order. The room wasn’t ready till 5pm (4pm is check in time), so Michael was able to give us an extra hour of checkout time to make up for the time lost. The three bedroom villa was beautiful. Everything was clean and sanitized and smelled great. The villas are a must see/ must stay because no words can explain how great they are. On top of that, the ocean view was simply magical, and it is all thanks to Michael. Needless to say, The Resort at Pelican Hill is great, but with staff members like Michael at the front desk, it makes the Pelican Hill “experience” even better. I am definitely going to come back soon because of Michael and the exceptional customer service he provided for my family and I.
