We came here for a one‑week vacation, hoping to experience an authentic local breakfast. We tried asking AI for recommendations but couldn’t find a restaurant that felt right. In the end, we decided to give up driving and just wander around on foot, hoping to stumble upon something by chance. That’s how we discovered this charming little restaurant. The sign on the door said it opened from 8:00 to 8:30, but when we passed by at 8:31, the place was still dark inside. However, we noticed smoke rising from the BBQ grill and the air was filled with a delicious aroma. Eventually, we found someone who seemed to work there, and he told us the restaurant would actually open at 9:00.
So we spent the next half hour exploring the lake behind the restaurant, enjoying the scenery, and chatting with some people fishing. It turned out to be a very fulfilling wait.
Sure enough, the restaurant opened right at 9:00. Wow—we were so glad we had waited, because we ended up enjoying a truly authentic and delicious American breakfast, served by a warm and friendly owner, surrounded by lovely fellow guests. We had such a wonderful and unforgettable breakfast experience there.

We would have rated this higher but the meat was old, meaning cooked several days before and super dried out, plus they tried to pass off tri tip as brisket, which any seasoned bbq enthusiast can easily discern. And man was it old, crispy, and stringy. Do better please. Fresh bbq, not days old leftovers. This being said, portion size was great, almost too much food, and price point was good. Ribs again were tasty, just days old. Not cool. Server was nice, just slow and forgetful. We had to keep asking for things repeatedly. And please put fly strips or a bug zapper on the patio. Flys were relentless of their attacks on us. Room for improvement for sure. Fix them, and we would consider coming back. Sidenote, skip the mac&cheese.

my first impression of this restaurant was so disappointing and hideous, one of the female staff was racist because i was there with my dad and that lady said oh look at these mexicans and laughed while talking to another staff member. i would absolutely never come back here and i would never recommend someone to dine here at all.

Friendly waitress. Definitely a hometown feel to it. The corn on the cob was really good and so was the pulled pork (with some delicious South Carolina mustard-based BBQ). The garlic bread, outstanding. The trip-tip, a bit dry for me. If you're visiting, check it out.
Driving home after the long 4th of July weekend. Stop for a sandwich and got a wrap instead. Excellent all around set out on the patio. Nice way to end a weekend

Food is okay, workers okay and the restaurant isn't very clean. Ceiling fans have a lot of dust accumulated ontop...wouldn't want to be there when they turn them on. Bathrooms aren't clean as well.
