Discovered h little hole in the wall April 2024 as w were passing though the town. This is our 2nd time eating here and if I lived closer I’d eat hre more often. The food is delicious and authentic. The owners, cook, and server are the nicest people. There were 4 of us this visit and we had: bistek ranchero, shrimp tacos, and the carne asada torta. Every thing was fresh, seasoned well, and served hot. The meat was tender. You just gotta stop in. You won’t regret it.

Best Mexican food in the Niland area

What a great little place. Good food and very friendly owners. Have been there twice and consistently a good experience.

Their online menu has Western Bacon Cheeseburger with fries for $10.99. I ordered it in the restaurant and they charged me $16.19. That burger was not on their in house menu, but they did give it to me. I told them about their online menu pricing and they denied me that price. I won't be back. Don't trust their online menu.

A group of us had an adventure day in the area yesterday and ended it with a late lunch here. Food was great, service was exceptional and staff members are very welcoming AND humorous! 12/10 will definitely go back!

Great place to eat with friends and family

This place doesn’t look very impressive from the outside but the food was excellent. Chili verde burrito was wonderful. Homemade lemonade was delicious. Proprietor/staff were very nice. What a great find!

Try it you won't be disappointed, I will eat here again. Buckshot Cafe is an old building in Niland and looks almost scary from the outside at night. Niland is very small and I think this is the only place to eat. We went there after visiting Slab City. The food was surprisingly good, the staff was very friendly and service was good. Prices are as expected in an out of the way location. They let us order even though it was close to closing. We were never rushed and they let us relax after closing. A friendly family runolace. We even got a local history lesson from the owner after we asked dome questions. Definitely eat here.

this is a road-side cafe that boasts really good Mexican and American food. We were taken aback as we arrived, because it was 11:15 and it was empty. within 15 minutes the locals began to appear, and understandably so. the food is well prepared and the menu is varied. The tacos were really tasty, my wife really enjoyed her burger.
It is also the only place to eat for miles and miles, so it's a relief that it is such a solid choice. I would stop again. but, we've seen the Salton Sea and enjoyed seeing all of the irrigated orchards and fields. I'm not sure I would feel compelled to visit again.

I got a breakfast burrito with potatos and beans and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger and fries. Very friendly staff! Loved it!
