Dinner @ RANCHO NIPOMO BBQ & DELI was absolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had. Bad service, bad food and our 3 items ordered came out in 15 minute intervals, my sandwich then my husband’s sandwich, we left waiting on our onion rings. All of this for the price of $52. Save yourself the headache and skip this place!

Family style bbq and Mexican food. Tasty tritip. Dine in family style long tables in bar style room. Order at counter and they bring to your table. Outdoor dining which is very pleasant when the weather is right. Near highway in industrial area.

Close to Santa Maria Speedway, much makes conversion difficult. The noise of the newcomer NIMBYs complaining about a decades old racetrack nearby really dampens the experience for me. Not that I can hear them, I just know I'm near them.

Great place to enjoy being alive. The minute you walk in you're surrounded by the wonderful aroma of mouth watering BBQ.

Karaoke on Wednesdays with Buzz and Linn. 4 pm to 8 pm. Come early, grab a sandwich, a drink, and a seat.

Great spot to stop off of the 101. We tried their smoked Tri tip sandwiches and fries with a side of ranch. Both were great. Tri tip was flavoand tender. Fries were crispy and went well with the ranch. 2 stars because they can use some fans for help with the flies on the patio. We’d definitely go back.

Had lunch here on a Friday and was a little disappointed. Server and bartender were very friendly, but the guy that seemed like a manager gave me a didn't acknowledge me when I walked in even though he was the only one at the register/counter, then gave me a weird look.
It was a little busy, but not even close to full and my food took an honest 30 minutes to get! I was alone and just got a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Honestly I wasn't impressed, everything was just....fine. Pork was tender, but seasoning and BBQ sauce underwhelming, and the coleslaw was seemed fresh and crunchy but bland and too sweet for my taste.
The place is clean and I really like the vibe, I'm sure it would be a fun place to get a drink with friends or watch a show, but for a casual lunch I'll skip it next time.

If, if you decide to eat here do yourself a favor and order ahead of time, at minimum 30 minutes. The location is perfect for grabbing a meal to-go back to. Bakersfield, except it’s doesn’t matter what time of day it is I could dang near make it home by the time the food is ready. For example, today, I stopped for a tri-tip burrito which all beef is twice cooked was not done after waiting exactly 30 minutes.

In an effort to not be a troll, I want to acknowledge I’ve eaten here for years sporadically and ordered extremely vast quantities to support employees working extended hours, never really had an issue being prep time was not a concern.

Sisco, and the people who work there seem like a family, definitely the workplace culture many may thrive to experience, which I highly appreciate and respect. Family, and familiar faces were treated with care and respect, which is not something many restaurants are able to achieve. I watched as employees arrived and showed each other that mutual appreciation for each others company, awesome, again, awesome. However at one point I counted 10 people behind the counter, possibly a shift change, but no matter the case. A tri-tip burrito at over $25 with a drink and bag of chips plus 30 minutes of my life, and time loss driving was something i didn’t expect. Now there might have been a mistake, possibly, except the guy who took my order repeatedly made eye contact after the 15 minute mark. Second, I could be wrong, Sisco, again definitely an awesome dude and treating everyone and employees excellent received a wonder visitor, I think his mom and daughter, which the moms order took every bit of 30 minutes and more to receive. So this tells me, fresh food takes time, or the employees while Sisco visited with mom or eleven himself were underperforming. From my perspective, there’s a way to be productive, proficient, and profitable. I’m definitely a people over profit advocate which is why I calmly turned to Sisco mom, and said she can have the burrito, and left. She did call out for her son, but in all honesty, in most cases once a cooks offended or upset j won’t eat it, not saying he was, I wouldn’t know because I left. There was mention I will get my money back, but I’ve yet to see it on my statement.

I will return, and do think this place is great but unless I have no choice or maybe no concern for time I won’t be back for a long while. Wish nothing but the best for the place, and keep up the great workplace culture.

Eat here with my wife and friends or family semi regularly. Sometimes we get it delivered. I haven't found anything i really like. The burgers are large but the patty is always dry. Burritos are mostly just rice and are dry with no sauces. The tri-tip is a little chewy but I guess that's expected. I have been getting the French dip style sandwich lately that they make with tri-tip. The fries are good, I like the atmosphere and they have a nice bar attached in the other room. The patio is nice. Staff are always nice. Good beer selection.
