This is a place I always ome to when I'm in town. The first time I went there, I was alone and a nice man named Dave who was sitting in a booth with someone socializing started talking to me. The next couple of times I went, he was there. He doesnt remember my name but he remembers my face. Ive met lots of locals through Dave. Its also a place my Uncle frequently eats. They dont serve alcohol but it reminds me of a diner version of Cheers. The food is good and the coffee is great. You may even find someone to talk to. The outdoor seating is very comfortable.

This place is unique, the decorum outside is a lot of fun. Inside eating area is very small. Just a few tables available, we could clearly hear the other tables conversations. The food is okay. And a small outside area is available too.

A small quirky restaurant. The outside is unique; you walk into an old house and there are only a few booths.
The breakfast I was served was excellent. I live 4 hours away, but will definitely be going back to eat there.
The service was friendly and was served breakfast in a timely fashion.
The prices were high; however. large amounts are served and the breakfast was cooked perfectly.

We stopped in while in town from Ashland, KY. We googled somewhere to go and mayors place was the first. Dustin was phenomenal! Top notch service and company. Dustin even turned the deep fryer on at 11 pm to serve us the kettle chips in his own seasoning- they were mind blowing. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted while away from home and relaxing, will come back every time

It used to be good some years running - but NOT worth the energy it takes to walk up the steps and turn the knob to walk in anymore. VERY outdated, cluttered and tacky, dusty and rundown. Against my initial visual impression, I went ahead and placed a breakfast order to go (it was 10:30am and only 2 other customers eating). Placed an order for Biscuits and Gravy w/ a side of hashbrowns for my hubby. I asked for a side of ham or sausage and the waitress said that there was ham and bacon in the gravy - so I said OK - no side order of meat needed. For myself, I ordered a beef hamburger patty (only - not hamburger sandwich) and a side of onion rings. Counter waitress was very unfriendly. Ordered a lemonade to drink while I waited. While at the counter I noticed that it was cluttered with so much "eclectic junk" (eclectic is too kind of a word to use for what I saw). I also observed a worker who looked like he was dressed to clean his garage - make a bowl of oatmeal. He reached into a container, pulled out 2 instant oatmeal packages (-ya' know - like Quaker Oats instant packs) , added it to a bowl with a dab of butter, put hot water in it, stirred and - Hurray- Whoppie - a "bowl" of oatmeal was born. For this they charge $4.95 according to their online menu. My ticket was just over $36.00 (including the pink lemonade I got while waiting). Got home, platted the biscuits and gravy, couldn't really see any meat, however, it was covered in a huge amount of black pepper. Hashbrowns looked good - although cold and kind of greasy. I opened my container and found a "hamburger sandwich" - not just the patty I had requested. It was a small, squished, soggy bun - with the standard - lettuce, tomato, pickle & onion. To my surprise - it was a veggie/garden burger - so the waitress got 2 things wrong. I have NEVER ordered a veggie burger in my life. Patty was fairly tasteless, mushy and falling apart. In addition, my 6 skimpy onion rings were the crappy frozen kind that are all crust no onion. From the other room I heard a "oh - yuck". That would be my husband's comment when he took his first couple of bites of the biscuits and gravy - said there was so much pepper you couldn't hardly taste anything else. Then he said why didn't you get me any meat with it??? There were miniscule amounts of "meat" in it - not identifiable as either ham or bacon as waitress had claimed. I tasted it and had same reaction. I will, however, say the biscuits were good - potentially homemade. As if this all isn't bad enough, they are pricey for what they are offering. I don't ever mind pricing, as long as quality is there. I would have given them a 1.5 rating if I could - cause at least the biscuits and lemonade were good. I am a local - will I go back - NO - will I ever recommend (as I used to) NO not ever again. So disappointing - our town NEEDS good eateries that our community would be overjoyed to support with repeat business.

the friendliest nicest people. dog friendly. they go out of their way to make sure your dog has water and a treat. the food is delicious. the portions are perfection. I highly recommend. the price is very reasonable.
Opens late for a breakfast spot, 8am. The prices were way high for what I ordered, the Klondike Gold ($15.95): one egg, one thick slice of bacon, hash browns with cheese and onions, and a choice of carbs (I had the biscuit and gravy). The biscuit and gravy turned out to be enormous and was the best part of this otherwise skimpy meal. Coffee ($4!) was also delicious, something that some breakfast places overlook. I was an early diner and was lucky to get one of the few (5? 6?) indoor tables on a chilly November morning. There was patio dining too, but brrrr I wouldn't have enjoyed that. Bottom line: the food was pretty good, the service was terrific, but $25 is a hefty amount for such a small breakfast.
Brisket was not very tender and not very tasty. We shared the lunch and were charged extra for sharing.

Down home diner. Food portions are good size. Inside is small, but I personally prefer eating on the patio. Family friendly and they make you feel welcomed. We have eaten there quite a few times and will be back. Sometimes service has been slower than other times, but that depends on how busy they have been.
Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loves coloring the ground in chalk when we go there.

The team was polite and well-trained, and answered all of our questions. The pancakes were doughy & heavy. The eggs were so undercooked we sent them back. The coffee had sat for a while, and it was instant oatmeal. The fruit was very fresh and quite good. 50% of the booth seats had duct tape on them.
