Very friendly staff. Amazing food. I got the medium plate with beef and BBQ chicken and the portion was great, I had leftovers. Their spam musubi was delicious. They were out of stock on their regular kimchi but their cucumber kimchi was delicious.

Food was not good at all imo. Short ribs were very fatty and disgustingly gamey tasting. The shrimp was bland and overcooked. Only thing decent was the Spam Musubi but that’s pretty hard to mess up.
OVERRATED!!! I’m a Pacific Islander who’s lived in Oahu and this place ain’t it. The spot is tiny with little to no parking and a pain from the start. The food takes FOREVER to come out. I spent good money on my order of 2 plates a side of cucumber salad and a spam musubi. After about an hour of waiting it was finally done only for them to forget my cucumber salad.
Never going back, if I were you I’d save my time and money since you’ll waste both coming here. Just go to Ono it’s not authentic but light years better.

Great food, service, and atmosphere here at North Shore Plate Lunch in Norco, CA! It's a Hawaiian spot, and everything on the menu is pretty good. I've had the BBQ chicken, shredded pork, loco moco, and the spam musubi. It was all very tasty. A must visit restaurant in Norco, CA.

Who knew that Norco would be the Hawaiian food locus of the inland empire? This is another little hidden gem with a nice island vibe and a simple, straightforward Hawaiian comfort food menu. What attracted us to NSPL was saimin. I had the saimin, which was hot, had all the right ingredients(I had spam, char siu is also available), it also includes egg, kamaboko, and green onion in a light broth with wheat egg noodles. I’ll be back for this again 🙂 Some nice Hawaii themed music, and it felt like home🥰

Huge disappointment!
Undercooked rice
Undercooked chicken
To go and katsu sauce must of been thrown in the bag with a loose lid. Take tip from Ono Hawaiian, give guest baggie for sauces just in case …
What a waste of money on 3 meals. All 3 had undercooked food.

Delicious poke, guava cake, chicken & steamed rice! EVERYTHING I've tried was delish! They are super friendly, helpful and answer any questions you have about the menu. It is loud in there and warm on hot days but the food is SO GOOD, it's worth it!

My home away from home. My comfort food. I am so happy I found this hidden gem.

I'm born and raised on the island of Oahu, and am currently living in Socal. So, from the moment you walk in the vibes you get feels like I'm back home in Hawaii, from the island music, to the locals working there sharing that Aloha Spirit they are so welcoming, and definitely the food! The food is so authentic to what Hawaii offers! Seriously gets better and better every time I go eat here. I'm also korean and the cucumber kimchi is bomb! Also, the poke is so good! Must have with your meal.

Truly thank you North Shore Plate Lunch for doing what you sistas and bruhhdahs do! Mahalo for bringing me back to Hawaii even if its only for 30 mins or so while im there it truly fills my heart and belly!!! Aloha!

If you come early, BEWARE!!! Not sure how this place ended up in the top spot of Yelp but I couldn’t even eat the chewy, hard, and what looks to be over-stewed Kalbi that doesn’t seemed grilled like some of the other pictures. This is what I got for almost $20.
As a former chef this kalbi looks to be leftovers from the other day, reheated and stewed instead of charbroiled like how it’s supposed to be. By trying to save money you served a customer bad food that ended up being tossed. The beef looks and tasted like hard tack beef jerky that was inedible. I would understand if the meat was not cooked well enough or overcooked as these issues can be mistakes but as a former chef I know there is no excuse to serve someone this beef with the worst parts hidden below the stack of meat. Something like this is not a mistake. As someone who worked in a tight kitchen, I can say this was deliberate as I came after opening and was most likely served reheated meat. Also notice how there is no burnt edges on the meat from the grill as the meat looks to be just taken out of a pot of liquid that was reheated to rejuvenate the tough meat which happens when you try to reheat something overcooked. The Katsu was ok. A warning for those who come early, you may get reheated leftovers. Absolutely no excuses for a place that charges almost $20 a meal!
