Salad bar for all veggies and seafood. Good selection of meats. The strawberry ice cream was surprisingly good.

The meat was fresh and melted in my mouth delicious the service was very welcoming and friendly (but when it came to the broth tasted like it came from a can to oily and upset my stomach to a point I had to vomit and the smell made my stomach very much upset.

The customer service makes this place amazing. They treat you great here. Definitely not the best shabu shabu that I've been to.. But it's pretty good. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get seated. And when you're seated they're pretty attentive. They have a great selection of meat. And they also have appetizers of sushi. They have a bar of sauces that you can choose from.

I love the fact that this place is close to my home, and has great meat cuts for their shabu. The sidebar has a lot of good extra selections for your meal as well. I love the spicy creamy chicken broth, it's the best broth option on the menu in my opinion.Parking is relatively easy, and the staff is also very friendly. They allow you to bring your own alcohol which is also a great feature.I will say that the ambience leaves a little bit to be desired, it's pretty basic and the decor is a bit strange. This restaurant is also located in kind of a sketchy part of town, so I wouldn't want to be walking around late at night after eating here. But I would say overall, you get a good value for your money, the food is definitely very decent, and the staff is friendly.

It may be a on the pricey side bits it’s all you can eat the food is amazing. From when we walked in the vibe was perfect. The grandma working is lovely and is your typical grandma just trying to feed you. Best place for hotpot don’t waste your time going somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I have been regulars at Aki Shabu for three years now. We often joke that this place is the cornerstone of our relationship. The authentic, homely atmosphere and friendly workers has kept us coming back. All of the meats and veggies are so fresh. The appetizers (potstickers and spicy tuna crispy rice) are made to order and always delicious to start with. Their goma and ponzu sauce is unparalleled! We even buy batches of it to take home. Jessica (the owner) taught me to make their special sauce which completely changed the entire experience for me. When people ask what our favorite restaurant is, we don’t just say shabu, we say Aki shabu. We have explored a handful of other shabu restaurants but this one can never be beat. An absolute gem.

It doesn't matter if a person comes to dine in or order for take out. Service is service. The impression and approached that was given to us was awful. I haven't been here since they changed this restaurant during pandemic. (Just found out at the end from the owner). So anyway I'm a supervisor at a restaurant. No one greeted us when we came in so we just stood there until I was able to asked my question. This young blonde girl walked up to us and as I started to ask my question if they still serve pho for dine in..the way she approached and responded was not in a friendly tone saying "that's our menu right there!" As I asked the same question to clarify that she actually heard MY QUESTION, she answered the same tone and walked away. Young girl if you really know your stuff and know what service is, you would really listen and know how to direct your customers what they are looking for. (There was another menu on the counter for takeout.) Whatever we were looking for, we found out they were only for takeout now from someone else. Anyway, as I've read from other reviews, she needs training on how her response and tone goes a long way in service.

my favorite AYCE Shabu place, hands down. Pros: Never have to wait. Always have space and never too crowded. Foods are good quality in general. Nice service ( they even help you change soup base if you don't like it, and checks on you the moment your meat plate is empty.)

The food quality was just ok,the sushi was just OK and the soup bases were basically just water with no flavor. The servers were slow and forgot to bring us our order multiple times.for the price we expect better. Probably won't be coming

Absolutely wonderful! We had great service and delightful food. The meat and veggies were all high quality. And each person gets their own hot pot! I had the Mala broth (the most traditional option, I was told) and it had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. The wagyu and lamb were great. The all-you-can-eat also includes appetizers and dessert, so we enjoyed a California roll, garlic edamame, and strawberry ice cream.Vegetarian options: No cheaper option for vegetarians; however, there are several vegetarian broths and lots of veggies and noodles you can cook in the broth.Parking: Small lot in front of building

I don't even like doing this but I don't understand why we received bad service this time. I have been to the restaurant a few times and I have never received bad service until last night. We went to unwind and have good food but bad service makes the food taste just as bad. The waitress we got was so rude and awful at her job. I asked for a mango boba and she said she doesn't recommend because I'd get full. Listen, she's not paying for my meal. As a business owner I would fire someone like her for stoping sales. If I finish it or not it my business. Second she never checked in with us. We had to stop her. EVERYTIME we asked for something she would find a reason not to give it to us. I asked for more soup she NEVER brought it she said the soup in my pot was fine. I don't understand what her problem is but her job is make the experience easy. I had to get another waiter to get me the mango boba. We had to get the same waiter to bring us our second round of meats because when she rudely interrupted us with "DO YOU WANT MORE" she never brought because she was at the register talking to someone else a then followed that by getting on the phone. My boyfriend had to get up and get extra napkins from the counter. So because of this service, we also did not like the food. The crabs were dead, the meat what dark even after cooking it which is why I asked for more soup because I didn't want the same soup I cooked bad crab in. The sauce bar was a f-ing mess and the plates to grab vegetables and seafood were dirty with food particles. NEVER AGAIN. because I have been hear before I knew the ice cream should have been on its way but since the woman never checked up on us she never asked. In observing her we saw her tending to other costumers much better and checking in with them. I simply will never go there again or recommend. Gross. It's sad she was the only one that was just awful. Everyone else was helpful and smiled and attentive.
