I came here because I was missing my homestyle Latino breakfast (tres golpes) from the east coast and was not disappointed! Delicious food, friendly owners and great service, highly recommend! Miriam from Brooklyn, NY.

Absolutely love the empanadas. I haven’t had anything else they sell because the empanadas are that good, every time.

11/10 place.

A must in your Go To places. One amazing option is their late hours of operations. Nice when you get the late night munchies and want to avoid the Fast Food options.

We have only tried the empanadas with chili sauce so far but the food so far was amazing! Very authentic, very flavorful, we’ll def be back to try other menu items.

The owners are from the same small town in the Dominican Republic as my husband - what a coincidence. Super friendly!

Just beware it’s a ghost kitchen and not a restaurant, hence, no seating.

Today, I went to Bodega Delights after finding out about from my spouse’s hairstylist, Catalina’s Dominating can Hair Salon in North Hollywood, CA. Bodega Delights is also in North Hollywood on Burbank Blvd. and Satsuma Street, which is not too far from Cahuenga Blvd. Frankly, it was a bit hard finding Bodega Delghts because it is in an industrial strip of many businesses, especially restaurant “kitchens” where they prepare their meals, and eat outside in a covered area. Bodega Delights is in one of those strip buildings. We went into the building, went down the hall and came upon a metal cart across the entrance to this “kitchens.” We were greeted by Evelyn and her son, Justin, Jr. Two very pleasant and accommodating compatriots. Being a Dominican myself, who ❤️❤️ her cuisine and my test of Dominican restaurants by ordering the most basic dish, I ordered “mangu,” a dish comprised of boiled and mashed green plantain which is usually accompanied by fried white cheese, sausage patties (salchichon), (Los Tres Golpes” or the Three Hits.”) with sautéed red onions, on two sunny-side up eggs. Since I am watching my cholesterol, no fried cheese or salchichon for me. But, I did order it with avocado. I also ordered my favorite Dominican beverage “Morir Soñando” (translated to to “Die Dreaming.” My spouse ordered a chicken empanada (or pastelito in DR) with Chimi sauce similar to Thousand Island dressing). After eating it, we ordered a beef pastelito). OMG!! All three were exquisite!!! We then ordered a beef (made w/20% fat). It as delicious also. Evelyn rewarded our patronage by giving us homemade flan. Again, it was wonderful because it was perfectly creamy with a not overly sweet sauce. Mmmmm! It was well-worth the travel expedition to find this location. Hopefully soon, Evelyn and her family will open a formal restaurant which we are looking to patronizing as well because it is close to Glendale, CA, where we live. I HIGHLY recommend Bodega Delights! The prices are reasonable (about $20 per person, depending on what you order). We called before getting there, and my dish was ready when I got there, nice and warm.

I just ordered through door dash and the food was so delicious and it was still hot. I ordered mangu with the 3 golpes and wow the mangu was so soft and you could taste the butter. It has the onions on top. The cheese was perfectly fried and so was the salami. 10/10

Beef empanadas were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ll definitely come back for more food. Give it a try if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed. 5/5

I’m born and raised in Washington Heights, NY and have been in LA for quite some time. I’m so grateful to find little gems like Bodega Delights, that shine the light to the culture of Dominican food. It was my first time trying them today, I ordered through Uber Eats. I got the Mangu con Los tres golpes and it instantly brought me back home. I gotta go in person now and try the rest of the menu.
