This is a typical hole in the wall. Simple, but with a magnificent Peruvian food. They bring to my memory our time visiting Miraflores and Lima. The portions are generous, too. We will be back next time visiting Los Angeles

Given the pricing this Peruvian spot is really freaking good. Here some dishes you should try. Causa, Tallarin Saltado, Fideos Verdes, Lomo Saltado, Aji de Gallina.
All ballers at a great price. Super friendly peeps.

Good spot for Lomo Soltado, I lived in Peru, this place brought me back. Nothing fancy, good food and music. Passion fruit juice was very tasty. I’ll be coming back!

I've had El Hatuchay on my list for a while and finally checked them out. They are a lovely little Peruvian shop with quaint and vibrant decor. The staff were nice however they did get my companions order wrong even after double checking with us.
However the food was excellent so we didn't mind. I ordered the Tallarines Verdes from the All Day Menu which came with a side of Papa A La Huancaina. I wasn't entirely sure outside of beef, spaghetti, and potatos what I'd actually be getting but it was all delicious.
The Papa A La Huancaina was a chilled potato slice with a cheese sauce on top. I'm not the biggest fan of chilled potatos but this was delicious! For my main course I had the Tallarines Verdes, steak and pasta. It was fantastic. The steak was good and the pasta was delicious in a crema sauce with a hint of pesto it seemed. I loved it and made sure I saved some for leftovers which also remained delicious.
I definitely recommend coming to El Hatuchay and I look forward to coming back and trying more off their menu.

The food was OK, not a place I would crave to return to. The waitress did try but was a bit overwhelmed with all the customers. The prices were high for the food quality.

This place has very bland lomo saltado with no flavor. Also I'm Mexican and felt stereotyped because I wasn't Peruvian. The service they provided was forced pretending to be nice but they don't like other races

Far from Peruvian flavor, lomo saltado had gamy meat and no flavor at all, looked like boiled meat in soy sauce, chicken soup was old I could see the black leaves of some sort of herb and rice was all too soft and mushy . Causa was bland as well .
They did not have any type of Peruvian hot sauce .

I'm not a big fan of Peruvian food. I ordered the sautéed loin, it was good, a nephew ordered a shrimp cocktail and it tasted like pure ketchup. They didn't give him toast or cookies because they didn't have them anymore, so this time it didn't meet my expectations. .

"I recently visited El Hatuchay in Sherman Way and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, which made for a great dining environment. We arrived to find the restaurant relatively empty, which was a bonus. The staff promptly served our food, and I was impressed by the quality and quantity of the dishes. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. I was pleased to find the restaurant clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff to boot. Overall, I would highly recommend Boyles and plan to return for another visit to try more of their offerings. I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.
