Super friendly owner who takes pride in his home made food! We had excellent mulita al pastor, nopales & eggs, and mole chicken enchiladas! The chips are thick homemade and salsa is also home made - spicy but not too hot. No store bought chips and poured out container salsa - this is the real deal! Tortillas are hand made too. This is a Legit, quality Mexican food restaurant in a casual, clean welcoming environment in the middle of NoHo! Breakfast and lunch available…closes early so no late dinners. Owner said they also cater with reasonable prices. We’ll be back!!

We ordered the Shrimp cocktails and burritos mojados. Delicious! The meat was very well seasoned. The refried beans and rice was delicious! The customer service was awesome. I have nothing bad to say about this place on my first visit. My Family highly recommends coming to enjoy food and great Mexican atmosphere aswell as great Mexican food. Great selection for picky eaters aswell I'm picky with Mexican food and we can never find a joint that satisfies. Well I can say that I am satisfied and full. I tried El Rey for the first time. I got chili rellenos and asada street tacos. Sooo good! Best chili rellenos!! Salsas were fresh and delicious. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Wonderful experience and food. We stopped here for a quick bite and ordered a carnitas plate and breakfast burrito to go. Food tasted amazing and authentic. They made us some fresh corn tortillas as soon as we ordered which were delicious. The server/owner was super friendly and helpful and ended up bringing us chips and fresh salsa while we ate a few bites of our to go food before getting on the road. Highly recommend!

La comida no es Buena y tampoco El servicio porque cosas andan rayadas en El menu de los precios. No voy a volver a Este Lugar . Prefiero comer en Sandy's tacos por El otro lado. Porque quieren subir los precios eso no es justo a los demas.

Food wasn't bad at all but questionable business practices for sure. First of all, some of the prices have been crossed out on the menu. When I asked the server (assuming owner) about this, he said that they are raising prices. What's odd is that the prices for the items that weren't crossed out were still increased on the bill by $2. Additionally, we were charged $3 for extra salsa... something we didn't even ask for? The salsa naturally ran low as we ate the chips and so another bowl of salsa came out. We didn't realize that he was also charging us for those refills of salsa we didn't ask for. Lastly, the owner lingered and watched us figure out our bill. He just stood there waiting for us to hand our credit card. Honestly, even though the food was fine, probably wouldn't come back due to being uncomfortable multiple times throughout the meal.
