Food/drinks were overpriced, I dropped $50 for two drinks and a breakfast burrito. I’ve never heard of a breakfast burrito ever being vegan either before and was charged extra just to have protein in the breakfast burrito…
Service wise, the short guy with the big beard and glasses was very rude both me to and this other lady behind us in line.
The taste of the food and drinks were good, I’d say I likes the food over the drinks we got and they had a spicy sauce to go with the burrito and I’d say that made me enjoy the burrito a more.
Experience at this was okay alright, would I come back NO, but that’s why you try new things out and see how they go!

I love the aesthetic of the coffeeshop but unfortunately they didn't make my drink right. I asked for a caramel americano & they didn't add caramel to it. My partner ordered an iced chai latte & her drink was watered down. Idk if the guys were tired but when we arrived in the afternoon it was slow. Maybe the morning crew makes better coffee?

Little hard to find the front door, but delicious drinks. And they are open earlier than others!

The worker started taking my phone , asking stupid questions, when I said that I don’t wanna answer that questions , she just didn’t want to give me my order that I have paid for it already !!!
I didn’t see customer service like that before, that’s unbelievable, they will talk about you with other people, she will talk to you so rude !!!
That’s the worst experience that I’ve ever got !!!! NEVER NEVER ANYMORE !!!!

“I absolutely love the ambience here—it’s cozy and inviting, perfect for spending some time. The coffee is good, and I used to use it when I had my own coffee hop, so I know it can create some great drinks. The menu I created back then was always a hit! Recently, I decided to try their coffee from the shop, and while I appreciate the quality, I found it a bit too bitter and plain for my taste. It’s just not quite my style, but I can see why others might enjoy it. Despite that, I’d still give the ambience a solid 10/10. Definitely a great place to relax!”

While out exploring yet another cool neighborhood in LA, I was on the hunt for a coffee fix. I didn’t know much about the history of the train depot, but i was drawn in by the outdoor seating.

Groundwork coffee has continued to be a favorite of mine- and this location is utterly charming with outdoor picnic tables and super chill vibes- you can be old school with a book & a coffee at a cafe like it’s 2012!

The coffee was delicious, and the menu is great- tasty, and plenty of options beyond basic coffeehouse pastries.

Plenty of room to hang out, or grab a coffee & a bite to go…And buy some freshly roasted whole beans to take with you, too!

To start off, its hard to find the entrance, there are so many doors and only one is unlocked. Its not the biggest problem but it isn't great for new customers. The area inside is quite nice i find it to be spacious but with a cozy feel, easy place to do work in.

The drinks they serve is a huge issue. I have tried multiple cotfee drinks from cold brew to latte and every one has been sour. Their coffee is strong (which is fine if you like that) but VERY sour which means it isnt being brewed right. If you like sour coffee thats fine but the next problem will effect anyone. They never seem to get the instructions right??? I ask for cold and i get hot, I ask for it to be unmixed and they mix it, i ask for light sweentener and I get none. I have also run into problems with expired milk.

This is one of the few open coffee shops in the area at 6:30 am so i tried to make it work but i have given up. Every drink has been nasty or at least, not enjoyable.

I haven't mentioned the customer service. They are pretty quick with making your drink (that might come with a cost) and so you can get in and out fast. But personally have never had a particularly good expirence with the workers either. They are grumpy to see me everytime, I understand I come early in the morning, I worked at a coffee shop before, it can be hard to serve when you are setting up. But do you have to be rude?

I really dont recommend this place, the food they have is okay but nothing really worth it.

Just the spot, a cafe at a historic former train station, is worth 5 stars! That rating is also backed by good coffee, delicious snacks and wonderful customer service. I tried their Mind-Fulll Bar to go along with a regular dark rosted coffee and loved my combo. The Mind-Full Bar is one of the best I've ever tried, very fulfilling, delicious and nutritious--see photo for ingredients. Let's support this quaint cafe next to the North Hollywood Station.

I stopped in today to grab a chai tea and a snack. The girl taking my order added a breakfast burrito, I said no thank you. When I went to pay, I noticed it was rather expensive, when I asked, she said it was inflation. When I got my receipt emailed, she charged me for the burrito. I tried to call 3 times and no one answered. I will never come here again.

This is an old building and a bit eerie to spend the day in. The coffee was pretty good, but the ambience left much to be desired.

Been here a few times. Groundwork has good coffee, but in my view it’s just not worth it anymore given the high prices. Coffee shops in LA generally charge a lot, but when you’re paying nearly $8 for a fairly basic coffee that takes about 1 minute to make, it starts to grate a bit.
