To start off, its hard to find the entrance, there are so many doors and only one is unlocked. Its not the biggest problem but it isn't great for new customers. The area inside is quite nice i find it to be spacious but with a cozy feel, easy place to do work in.
The drinks they serve is a huge issue. I have tried multiple cotfee drinks from cold brew to latte and every one has been sour. Their coffee is strong (which is fine if you like that) but VERY sour which means it isnt being brewed right. If you like sour coffee thats fine but the next problem will effect anyone. They never seem to get the instructions right??? I ask for cold and i get hot, I ask for it to be unmixed and they mix it, i ask for light sweentener and I get none. I have also run into problems with expired milk.
This is one of the few open coffee shops in the area at 6:30 am so i tried to make it work but i have given up. Every drink has been nasty or at least, not enjoyable.
I haven't mentioned the customer service. They are pretty quick with making your drink (that might come with a cost) and so you can get in and out fast. But personally have never had a particularly good expirence with the workers either. They are grumpy to see me everytime, I understand I come early in the morning, I worked at a coffee shop before, it can be hard to serve when you are setting up. But do you have to be rude?
I really dont recommend this place, the food they have is okay but nothing really worth it.

I stopped in today to grab a chai tea and a snack. The girl taking my order added a breakfast burrito, I said no thank you. When I went to pay, I noticed it was rather expensive, when I asked, she said it was inflation. When I got my receipt emailed, she charged me for the burrito. I tried to call 3 times and no one answered. I will never come here again.

This is an old building and a bit eerie to spend the day in. The coffee was pretty good, but the ambience left much to be desired.
Been here a few times. Groundwork has good coffee, but in my view it’s just not worth it anymore given the high prices. Coffee shops in LA generally charge a lot, but when you’re paying nearly $8 for a fairly basic coffee that takes about 1 minute to make, it starts to grate a bit.

A large cafe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. A really quiet place to sit and work or have meetings. Definitely recommended.

My drink was not good at all. The environment is awful. Tons of homeless hanging around the area and lots of trash and pee around the building. They don't do cash and the service is just not there.

Old train depot vibes. Neat spot. Gonna have to research the history now.

Ok spot for coffee. Nice to work at, but a bit pricey for the coffee quality / food portions

Love this spot, but the hours are always in question. Website and google say they’re open till 4, but are frequently closed during the listed hours - which can be frustrating.
All that aside, the coffee and service are great, and the food is good.

I'm more of a tea drinker, but I do enjoy the occasional iced mocha, and groundworks was absolutely delicious. I saw this stunning portrait of David Bowie as soon and knew it was going to be amazing! The staff were friendly & an absolute joy to interact with. The shop is actually in a beautiful historical building (a former station for the Red Car) which has indoor and outdoor seating. My mocha was perfect and smooth. It's definitely worth a visit.
