I’m in town from New York and on a rainy Sunday had a craving for fried chicken. Luckily I googled and found Humble Bird nearby.
This is the real deal. Juicy small batch slow cooked chicken ( you can see the guy dredging your order in the back ! Choices of heat and delicious sides. The slaw , mac and cheese for starters.
Humble Bird is the most delicious fried chicken I’ve found out of the South !!!
The place is not crowded and the service friendly and informative. Louis served me : they are all nice. I highly recommend this when you’re in the mood ❗️

What a great spot for chicken!
We got medium spiced Sandos and really enjoyed them. I'd definitely spice up next time, though.
Also tried the mac & cheese and it wasn't fancy, but just a good side.
Clean and comfortable inside, and staff was friendly and helpful.
Good quality and value, we'll return and I definitely recommend.

Humble Bird was hands down some of the best food I’ve had visiting Los Angeles. Be aware the food is family portioned & more than worth the cost. The chicken was juicy, succulent, & flavor was spot on with all the homemade sauces make sure to try out the mikes honey sauce super 🔥 on the chicken and fries. The Mac and cheese changed my life and outright some of the best I had being that I am from Alabama I judge hard when it comes to Mac & fried chicken. Also the home made cookies were hands down top tier and a flavor I’ve never had before ever in my life tbh. Big shout out to my boy Marvin he gave me the greatest breakdown on the menu while providing 5 star customer service. I will 100% visit this location whenever I come to LA no questions.

Amazing juicy fried chicken.
The hot is the perfect level of hot+flavor. Medium is great if you just want the flavor!

Great food and staff! Place is a little small and could use a little character, maybe music?

Nashville Hot Chicken joint. Fries are to die for- perfectly seasoned, not too salty; perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I got the nugs so can't judge the sandwiches or the bone-in chicken. I'd say 5 stars on the fries, 4 stars for the nugs- they're perfectly competently made with the kind of breading you'd expect for Nashville Hot Chicken, but nothing I'd go out of my way to have again. The fries on the otherhand... Oh, and the pickles are pretty good too. I also got a cookie which reminded me more of banana chips than banana pudding.
I feel bad rating the food as only 4 stars because everyone at the shop was so nice. Even though they were technically closed at 8pm, but the doors weren't locked yet so they still let a lady order fried pickles.
Everything is made to order, so anticipate a 15-20 min wait for your food. In fact, they don't take orders for bone-in chicken less than a half hour before closing. Very basic seating area, but it's immaculate.

This was my first time being here as I’m not from the area. I came in on my lunch break, and it was pretty slow for a weekend. Customer service was great. I ordered the humble fries with HOT spice level. The food was 9/10. The chicken wasn’t that spicy, but I appreciated that they didn’t skimp out on the chicken or fries. The portion was great for the price.

This spot is an absolute gem! I had the Nashville hot chicken sando and it was out of this world crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Everything you could ask for in a chicken sandwich. The mac and cheese was creamy and cooked to perfection, and the banana bread pudding cookies? Hands down one of my new favorite desserts ever. I can’t hype the cookie up enough!
You can truly tell there’s small-batch love in every bite. On top of that, the staff was so patient and sweet, which made the whole experience even better. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and hospitality like this, and I’ll definitely be back.

If I were chicken, I’d want my final form to be a sandwich at Humble Bird. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, every bite reminds you why comfort food matters.

If you're looking for something special, give this a try. Everything was made to order. Go in knowing there is a minimum 15-20 minute wait time. The chicken was tender and juicy. The rub has depth of flavor. The shell was perfect. The fried pickles were great and actually get more flavorful with time. I ordered the half chicken and fried pickles. Too much for me to eat in one sitting. The magic of this place is that the food actually still tasted great hours and even a day later. I don't have an air fryer so my only real option for reheating was the microwave or just eating it could from the fridge. Amazingly, it still tasted great and still retrained some of it's crispiness. And the flavors on both had more time to marinate and evolve. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to returning and exploring the menu. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. Free water while you wait.

The best, juiciest, fattest chicken nuggets I've ever had, and their sauce is delicious. $5 waffle is yum. Server forgot one item, we called about an hour later, and he totally knew who we were - before even asking, he offered a refund. We will definitely go back to try a little spice! Oh, and banana white chocolate cookie split between the two of us was a nice finish 👌🏽 big appreciation

Normally I hate AI and how it’s being used in literally everything these days and making quality human interactions more rare - but I gotta give ChatGPT a shout out for recommending this place.
The food - 10/10. The chicken is on par with some of the best I’ve had in the city, with the Mac and cheese easily being the best I’ve had, ever. Chicken was juicy and very flavorful, I was able to tolerate a higher heat level while still being able to enjoy the meal.
Everything tasted fresh and flavorful and had a purpose. The sauce, slaw, everything. Water was given by the staff on request - a nice touch.
Parked on the street in front of the store, there was no massive rush or line - also nice.
A solid recommendation from me - was an amazing dine in experience with really friendly staff, thank you!

Stopped by The Humble Bird in North Hollywood and was seriously impressed. The food was 🔥 I went with the medium spice, and the chicken was perfectly cooked—moist, juicy, and not overly breaded or heavy. You can tell real care went into the flavor. A few friends and I tried nearly everything on the menu, and not a single miss. Every bite hit the spot.
What made it even better was the hospitality. Brandon, the owner, came out to check on every table, made sure everyone was happy, and you could tell he really takes pride in what he’s built. That kind of personal touch is rare and says a lot about the heart behind the place.
Highly recommend pulling up here if you’re in the area. Great food, great vibes, and run by even better people.
