Dear Boba Time Customer Service,

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an unpleasant and unresolved experience at your Boba Time NOHO II location.

On September 14, 2025, I placed an order for an Original Açaí Bowl with a request for no sliced bananas due to allergy concerns. Unfortunately, when I received my order, it included bananas despite my clear instruction. I immediately called the store that same day and was assured that my name would be documented and that I could receive a replacement açaí bowl on my next visit.

However, upon returning to the store, I was informed that there was no record of my name or order issue. The shift lead I spoke with was dismissive and rude, making me feel embarrassed as though I was attempting to claim an order I had not purchased. When I asked for the manager’s name, the shift lead refused to provide it. I had to leave my name and phone number and was told a manager would contact me.

After waiting a week without any follow-up, I did my own research and learned that the manager’s name is Andrew. When I visited the store again to speak with him directly, Andrew confirmed he had received a message to call me but admitted he had not found the time to do so, even after more than a week. To my surprise, he also refused to provide the replacement bowl and instead instructed me to contact headquarters. When I asked for the headquarters contact information, he provided me with the wrong number and declined to share the owner’s contact details.

This experience has left me extremely disappointed—not only because my allergy concern was disregarded, but also because of the lack of professionalism and accountability displayed by both the shift lead and the manager.

I respectfully request that this issue be addressed promptly and that an appropriate resolution be provided, such as an apology and a replacement for the original order. I have been a loyal customer and would like to continue supporting Boba Time, but this experience has significantly affected my confidence in your customer service standards.

I enjoyed my beverage. Was served quickly. I sat at a table and noticed they are quick to serve with small crowds, but could become overwhelmed if there is a large enough crowd. The employees are extremely friendly and the cashier serves with a smile. There's very little seating, no wifi, and only one outlet that doesn't seem to invite guest usage. Parking is time restricted. The staff's friendliness overcomes the situation of the location and makes up for the commercial property limitations.

My favorite boba spot, every time I’m in California I have to hit up a it’s boba time no matter the location. My favorite drink is the Thai iced tea with extra boba, it just satisfies the empty void in my life.

Not trying to sound biased, but I’ve noticed a consistent issue that’s honestly just become frustrating. Every time I come in and the female staff are on shift, my order is either not taken correctly or I’m told my go-to drink “doesn’t exist” — even though it's literally right there on the menu screen. I always ask for a mango guava tea, and it’s met with confusion or dismissal.

I’ve tried to clarify my order, ask them to repeat it back, and still end up with the wrong drink. It’s gotten to the point where I feel like I’m not being heard or taken seriously. On the other hand, when the guys are working the register, things go smoothly and my drink is made correctly without all the back-and-forth.

This isn’t meant to offend anyone, but when you’re working in customer service — especially taking orders — it’s important to be attentive and aware of the menu. I really hope management takes note and provides better training or oversight during these shifts. I love the drinks here, but the experience is starting to wear me out.

My first visit. I was able to ask questions with great service. Settled on a dragon fruit smoothie. It was prepared fresh and it was delicious! I will go again. Id like to try their Acai bowls. The wait for my smoothie to be prepared was under 5 minutes.

boba is good but the employee was kind of unhelpful. while my friend was putting her boba in my cup holder in the car the bottom suddenly gave and exploded passion fruit tea everywhere. we went back inside to explain that, and she didn’t even offer a napkin to help us clean it let alone pay for it. it was also humiliating because other customers were laughing at her. it’s not my fault you guys have terrible cups that can’t withhold anything. will not be returning and i go here all the time for online pick up. disappointed
