Las Americas is a visibly unassuming, been around since '84 bakery that provides an assorted amount of Guatemalan and Latin American baked goodies and food. The Upside-down Caramel Banana Bread and Bread Pudding are ace!

Both the food and the baked goods are excellent. I was able to try both through the Too Good To Go app and was so impressed we have now been stopping in to pick up dinner and snacks on occasion

I called on a Friday and did an order for a cake for about 15-20 people; that I needed for Sunday. My son is turning five. So I asked for a CINCO DE MAYO themed cake OR more like a Mexican fiesta cake.. I asked fortres leches cake with strawberries inside and let me tell you guys they did not let down!! Wow it was so moist and it's not too sweet but it's not to blande either. It's just the right sweetness! This is a hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley. I will be going for their cakes more often now because I actually enjoyed them and so did my family.

Been coming to this place for years, but the food is getting worse and worse. I think the cook needs to taste what they are putting out on the trays. Today I was in the mood for some platanos, so I got a small order for almost $5; which I think it's way overpriced for 8 pieces and 4 of them went in the trash, they were not ripe enough to be cooked, they were hard and flavorless, we know that you only fry the ripe platanos. I called the store, no one answered. I won't be coming back. I should have eaten them in the store.

Great place to come and eat Central American food. We love the plátanos with beans and cream. Love that you can either eat here or take it to go. Love the pan with beans, cream and cheese.

I'm so upset I had ordered a cake for today July 10 and they said it'll be ready by 2. I get there at 3 and I was told they didn't make the cake at all. I'm so upset we clearly told the lady July 10 and she even repeated July 10.

The worse tasting Salvadoran tamales I have ever tasted. I was in the mood for some Salvadorean tamales, so Las Americas bakery came to mind- I purchased 5 and took them home- what a disappointment! No flavor, no salt, hard as a rock. I brought 3 back and the manager did not return my money. - they have now lost my family as customers!

This place isn't what it used to be. They would make the food with love and authentic. I ordered Guatemalan tamales made with chicken and pork. The tamal is pretty dry and no sauce. You can taste the flour. I don't live near this location and have to drive over 25 miles for this disappointment... is not worth having the desire to come back. Been coming here for years. The last few times I keep saying maybe it was a bad batch. But I might need to find a new location. The sweet bread is good.
