Lotus Vegan is such a gem in North Hollywood ā I actually found it through HappyCow š®š± and Iām so glad I did.
I tried the chicken satay, which was smoky and tender with a peanut sauce that hit just right. The butterfly pea tea lemonade was refreshing, colorful, and honestly as fun to look at as it was to drink. The lettuce wrap appetizer was fresh and crunchy, while the hot wings had that perfect crisp and kick of spice.
The star for me was the spicy basil noodles ā...

It's Thai American fusion plant based cuisine made with love and care, open for dine in, delivery or takeout. Nothing beats the in-person awesomeness with Elle, her husband working the floor and register, cool staff and mini assistant (their daughter).

Lotus Vegan is beyond special to me.
It was my first fully vegan restaurant I ever tried back in 2010 when they were at a much smaller space off Vineland Avenue, less than a half mile away from where they found their permanent home on Lankershim Blvd.
Elle, her husband, "mini Elle" (their little daughter) and family run this amazing place that's be a staple in North Hollywood, Los Angeles for over 17 years (nearly two decades).
