This was a small café hole in the wall Thai place in a tiny strip mall located in the valley. They honestly had some of the best fried chicken in LA and among the best fried chicken I've ever had. I came here with a buddy on a "waffle Wednesday" and got the fried chicken and waffle plate. Also ordered the fried okra as a side. I am gonna think about this food for a very long time! In my mind, I know it's Friday so it's probably not the best for you, but seriously it doesn't come off that greasy at all. The chicken is juicy (some places are super dry) and it came with their pepper jelly which was perfect with the chicken. The waffle had a nice crisp and came with butter and syrup. The birthday confetti in the waffle was a nice touch ha ha. Fried okra was also super well done in terms of not being greasy and just had a nice crisp to it. Also I am writing this review with a lot of sadness. I just found out that they closed and I'm super bummed about it. It was my birthday tomorrow and I was going to go and treat myself at this place but will have to figure something out. It goes without saying that I would've repeated this place often and as fate would have it, it is no longer possible. I wish them and their family the best and good luck with anything they do in the future. I'm just very happy that I got to experience it before they close down.

The food is incredible y'all! Don't take my word for it tho...Run to this Sweet Blessings!! It's literally the best soul food spot in the valley! The fried chicken is well seasoned and breaded. The chicken meat itself is tender and tasty. Chef Cyler does so well with all the sides. I thoroughly enjoy the yams, Mac, Brussels...everything tbh - Each item is savory with unique seasonings. I can't emphasize enough how amazing this establishment is! So good!

Nice family vibe here and the staff are friendly. We ordered take out and the owner Katrina helped give some great suggestions for what to order along with sides. Our fried chicken was still crispy even after a 30 minute drive sitting in a take out box and all the food was great. They have plenty of options for sides but we had the okra and fries which were some of the best I've had as of late. Will definitely be back for more if I'm in the area, nothing beats chicken made with love! Make sure to try their special hot sauce!

Everything that Chef Katina Cyler cooks is INFUSED with love! That is why it tastes so amazing. The catfish, fried chicken, Brussels sprouts, mac n' cheese and oh my lord that peach mango cobbler! Wash it all down with their Porch Punch. It smells so marvelous that it might not make it home if you take it to go. You might just have to eat it using the back of a Toyota hatchback as a table. Personal experience speaking here. Aida C. and I were fortunate enough to meet and chat with Chef Katina. Fascinating woman from the school of hard knocks. So sad to hear about all the misfortunes. I was totally surprised! I went there because it was a Soul food in the valley. I didn't feel like traffic after Pilates and a mile walk. Google they were the closest. Eclectic dining crab/lobster cakes with delicious chessy grits, shrimp fried with the perfect batter. They even sell Gators and taters. The best red beans and rice in a bowl with juice not gummed up. This SWEET BLESSING by Cyler is just that plus the menu changes every day! That Means Fresh not left over warmed up.I highly suggest this cool ? venue for breakfast lunch or dinner! ?

The food was tasty and well seasoned. I'm from the south so I was surprised the food was as good as the south because usually people in California put their healthy spin on it and it doesn't taste as good.... but it did not disappoint me. I loved the flavor of the fried chicken skin and the cheese in the Mac was good, the okra was crispy and seasoned and I also enjoyed my peach mango cobbler with ice cream. I will definitely go back and try the other stuff on the menu.

Omg !! This place is amazing. We ordered off DoorDash & got the combo plate with fish & chicken with two sides. The chicken was seasoned so well & juicy. The Brussels sprouts were probably my favorite part of the entire meal. My food arrived warm & ready to eat. I’m from the south & thoroughly enjoy everything from here. I’d highly recommend

Ppl often tell you the bad things but never want to tell you all the good about a business. I’ve been here several times to eat and it’s definitely been a sweet blessing on my soul. First, the service is impeccable! It’s been hard to find a REAL SOUL FOOD spot in LA since I’ve lived here. The owners have always made me feel right at home and that’s the main reason I continue to return. Second, the food is AMAZING! I’ve had EVERYTHING on the menu and EVERYTHING was DIVINE! My favorite has to be the pork chops, fried fish and fried chicken. To top it off, they offer a drink called porch punch and it’s delicious. I’d recommend anyone to come here for some authentic tasting soul food and a real southern good cooking experience. Sweet Blessings has definitely been a blessing in my life.

It’s soooooo hard to find good food in LA area let alone soul food but this place is bomb!!!! The owners are from Duval county in FLA so apparently they know how to season some food down there cause that’s what a lot of La food lacks ...it’s reasonably priced too check it out you won’t be disappointed!!! They are super sweet too!

Excellent!!! Everything came packaged so nice , chicken was delicious and crispy. Okra was good light batter , Brussel sprouts so yummy and the mango peach cobbler was warm and gooey delicious. I'm so happy for sweet blessings, they started this place before covid and survived it . I had ordered a fried turkey on thanksgiving 2019 , it was great they delivered to our home as if we were family . Way to go sweet blessings may you have continued success , you can definitely taste the love and passion in your food , Made from the heart and soul.
