I went in and placed an order to take out. When I got home it was horribly wrong and they don't answer the phone.... and it made me sick on top of it all.

The food and service were both excellent! My wife and I felt welcomed and the food was delicious. I enjoyed their chili, burger and onion strings. We will be back. That's a promise!

Always an excellent source of choose your own adventure burger happiness. Lots of options on the menu to make pretty much everyone happy. The owners and staff are quick to help and make sure you're dining experience is good.
Loved The Counter pre-pandemic. Went tonight and would rate it average at best. The service, food and atmosphere were disappointing. We wondered if there was new ownership as the food quality was truly not what it was. Felt like they were cutting corners on everything including the meat and chicken. The rootbeer floats were not fizzy and had minimal ice cream with the root beer tasting like cheap generic brand root beer with high frutose corn syrup. They had signs up for happy hour specials but said they weren't doing any, which we can understand but maybe they should take the signs down. I would skip The Counter and go to Formans Whiskey Tavern a few doors down.*UPDATE: changed my rating from two stars to one star because as of three hours after eating at The Counter, both my husband and I got very sick for several hours. Something we ate gave us food poisoning.
