It isn't bad at all, it isn't great. It's consistent, though.

Good authentic tasty Mexican food with good service Hometown feeling it's almost as if you're in someone's house
Very happy with everything. Delicious food. Reasonable price. Had a large party and we were all taken care of. Wish I had one in Thousand Oaks.

I had a fantastic experience at Casa de Lago in Oak View! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Green Salad, a Bowl of Soup, and Hard Tacos — each dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The salad was crisp with a refreshing dressing, the soup was hearty and comforting, and the tacos had the perfect crunch with delicious fillings. Everything was absolutely delicious. I also discovered they offer a “Taco Tuesday” special, making it a great spot for midweek dining. If you enjoy exploring local food gems, I occasionally share my favorites on my YouTube channel @dim_daniels — check it out! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Mexican food.
Amazing little restaurant. I've been coming here for 25 years. Carnitas are to die for and if you come on the weekend they have the most amazing french toast.
Parking: Parking can be tight and it gets pretty busy during peak times.
