A great place to kick back, grab a bite id recommend the blue collar burger. It's classic burger pairs with a nice IPA on tap.
Vegetarian options: The salads are crispy fresh, at least that's what my wife said.
Kid-friendliness: I don't hear kids screaming and crying so that was nice..

I don't have 1 restaurant i go to that is consistent with the food..whether they way it taste or portions or so on..Backwoods is consistent every single time. We come here at least 2 times a month...sometimes more. Lol We bring family and friends here Great prices, great portions, and AMAZING food!! Even my picky 10 year old loves it.

My first time and my order was a cheeseburger to go. They did not ask how I wanted my meat cooked, so I immediately was discouraged. So, the patty was dry and overcooked. So you do not have an option for med rare or well, etc... The sweet potatoe fries were good and would of been delicious if hot (temp). The marshmallow dip made up for the somewhat bland dinner. I always give a place a second chance, so I will go again.
One of the best burger in the US. We dropped by at Oakdale on our way to Yosemite and happened to find this hidden germ. Strong reccommend the rib eye burger. The steak is a burst of meaty flavour along with more than generous amount of crispy onion, making a perfect harmony. Pulled pork and pineapple burger is also a nice combination but the pineapple is a bit thick for my liking.
