H-B is a fantastic low key restaurant and bar where all are welcome, nice display of Oakdale's rodeo cowboy history on the walls. Food is great, drinks are cold, atmosphere is friendly and prices are fair.

Nothing is perfect in this life!!? It's a little entertaining to read the comments. Lived here all my life and passed by constantly over the years. Never took the time to actually go in and take a good look and order a meal. My husband, a friend and myself went in to take a quick look at the banquet room. We decided to go ahead and stay for dinner. The service was excellent. The soup and salad were both absolutely down home, just like I grew up with and still serve at home, with homemade dressings. Rib eye and it was very reasonable and fabulous!! Chared perfectly! We will absolutely be back!! The atmosphere is exactly what one would expect in a bar and grill. After all it was Established in 1953 in Oakdale Established in 1858!! Why would anyone expect it to be light and bright? ?It is like going into a historical museum!❤ ? ?MM

The food had no flavor the gravy wasn't country gravey it was thin and yellow it was nasty my husband prime rib was over cooked dry no flavor the salad was just lettuce and beets for 50 bucks we paid the portion was a kid size it was horrible will not eat here again

Used to go to the H bar B every year around Oakdale rodeo time. Never a dull moment!! Great drinks and food. Always a good time!! Love to go back there this summer.
Old town bar and really nice place the people that run it are very nice people.

The food was pretty good. My steak was cooked right on the inside, but had too much char on the outside for my liking. The white bean with ham soup was very good. The salad was fresh.The service was adequate but she seemed rushed all of the time and didn't smile. I don't know if they were busier in the back but I was the only person in the front diding room. Not sure I'd come back.
