Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch

My husband and I take our father out to breakfast every Thursday. Today we decided to try huckleberries in Oakdale because that is where we live.
Hostess sat us down. Waited 15 minutes and nobody ever came to our table to greet us or offer us a glass of water. Upon leaving, I told the hostess we were leaving because noone ever came to our table. The hostess and waitresses were all at the hostess station talking and laughing, (I guess they were not very busy) one of the waitresses apologized and said she did not know we were there. Does the waitress not check the other customers near us? So insulting. Very bad team work.

We decided to go here for late breakfast/ early lunch… the Food was terrible. My bf ordered the breakfast burrito - the potatoes were raw and huge.l- barely any eggs or meat, basically just a potato burrito. I ordered the eggs Benedict- regular. It came out with scrambled eggs, my server fixed it promptly and brought me my correct order but the fries were a little hard as well and parts of my egg were chewy.
I will say the fried green tomatoes were good- asked for them extra crispy which was great because the tomatoes were on the soggy side.
I can’t remember our servers name- he left the receipt- but she was nice and a good server.
We will not be back, at least not to this location (oakdale). The food is too expensive to be such low quality.

Cajun atmosphere. It's a little cheesy, but the food is good. Never thought I'd say this, but the shrimp and eggs plate is damned good.

3/30/25, my wife and I stopped in for breakfast. We would go there every time once or twice a month when my wife and I live in Modesto. It was our first time back since we moved out of state. Sorry no pictures 😕

This is the best Huckleberry's of the ones nearby. Nice clean tables and booths, friendly staff and food served fresh and hot. We went for a late lunch so it wasn't crowded but the service was still a little slower than anticipated, and our food all came out at different times. That's always awkward for everyone at the table wondering if the last person's food got forgotten. Nice to see fun drinks on the menu other than just the usual sodas. Easy parking, good location. Highly recommend.

Good food and a lot of food. The staff seems very happy and friendly. Went there again today and still was great.

Food was amazing. We got the Cajun Egg's Benedict, Stacked chicken waffles and some delicious hot chocolate to wash it down. Great service and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a good diner to make a pit stop at before heading to Yosemite.

My partner wasn’t letting me see the check because she wanted to pay and I was sitting there for 15 minutes trying to convince her to let me pay but luckily one of the servers saw and came with an extra copy and gave it to me. I was able to pay:) whoever you are thank you!!

Stopped by for breakfast. Service was excellent. Decent menu. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles and it was very good.

Carmen the manager first of all is so supportive and really was a professional at her store. My wife has light sensitivity issues. I was just asking for a darker corner of her store. She made accommodation along with the server Lea in a room where the lights could be adjusted. They made it very easy for us to enjoy the awesome food. Prices aren’t crazy and everything was fresh. 2 thumbs up to these all stars and ultimately the restaurant itself for getting it all right. Thank you. You made our day.
