Being A&W is closed in Modesto, and we live close to this restaurant we came here. To get fresh root beer in ice cold mugs. And yes to eat. But we came and left disappointed. They do not make fresh root beer. And there are no ice cold mugs. Just a soda fountain. Once again. Disappointed. Probably won't return here.

Food isn't always consistent. I usually buy chicken pot pies and 3 times last year ( a little too often to be a mistake) I got a pot pie that seemed like it was the last pie to fill and it got very little gravy fill, a few vegetables and 1 small piece of chicken, the pie was nearly dried up inside because there was so little filling it baked down. I called and told them the second time & they only apologised. The last time was Christmas week 12/23/24. I had grabbed my food from the drive thru & left for the grandkids in Merced, 3 hours later, I found no spork or napkin to eat with. I heated the pie to warm for a minute in the microwave & opening the crust found I had more crust than filling. I haven't returned to the Oakdale store, I'll drive the 4.5 miles to Riverbank if I want KFC in the future!

The employee that took my order was great. I have a problem spending over $15 for a meal that would leave a child hungry. What I received in my order was laughable. How in the world KFC can post amazing pictures of there products and then sale something that that does not represent the product in the slightest is beyond me. The cost and size is not the largest issue. The quality of the food is the biggest factor…

Was on a coach trip back from Yosemite which stopped off in Oakdale for a dinner break. A friend and I decided to visit KFC. Went in and queued behind a few other people eventually ordering a takeout. We then stood there for approx. 15 minutes watching a number of people telling the staff to cancel their orders which they were still waiting for (longer than we had waited for). Several people on our coach said the same with several getting their money back. The few staff were running around like headless chickens with the Manager apparently not managing very well. The drive through was busy and seemed to be getting priority over those of us waiting in the restaurant. We said that we were needing to go and the food finally arrived. We hadn't been given drink containers so had to try and get their attention again to get the cups before we rushed back to our coach which was about to leave. My meal was correct however my friend had ordered Chicken Tenders and Fries however just ended up with two bits of chicken on bone and a tub of mashed potato with gravy - which he could not eat as no spoon or fork had been provided. We obviously will never be passing through there again, however if anyone else is and reads this beforehand, avoid this KFC completely.

Orders 2 burgers one on its own & the other in a combo. Asked for the large kfc chips in the combo after the lady at the counter showed us the 2 sizes got given the small one when questioned about it this same lady refused to correct the mistake & tried to blame a new girl. The new girl didn’t have anything to do with the order. Would not recommend at all.

We were truly impressed with this KFC branch. From interior decoration to general cleaness, it's much better than those in New Zealand. The atmosphere is much more like a restaurant rather than a fast food joint. The service was great and the chicken tasted way better.

The place was just okay. I liked the buffalo wings here. I've got nothing much to say about this place. But the place was clean and quiet.
It's not the KFC I grew up with. Advertising meals with specific items only to alway be short one item. I don't any longer trust the so called "food". If I wanted to settle I could go just anywhere else. It's not for me, but you go right ahead!

I've always favored KFC over all others because their chicken is always cooked perfectly. But when they ask me what I'd like for dipping sauce. I like the gravy but hello, I can't have that without paying extra for it.I like the chicken and don't care t I cover it up with BBQ sauce or salad dressing.But I loved it anyways and ate every bite.

This is a KFC and A&W location. Service is fast, friendly staff. Chicken is nearly always fresh and good, fries not as consistent. The sides can be sneaky expensive. The dining area is OK and always clean, but could stand updating.
They were quick and pleasant and the food smells great..

I went to the KFC in Riverbank, Calif. I hadn’t been in awhile. I had a coupon for a sandwich, 5 nuggets one individual sides and a medium drink $8.99. I ordered it. Was charged$9.99.Asked about the extra dollar charge, didn’t have an answer. Rather than get into an issue I paid and left. I opened the box with the nuggets and I couldn’t believe it. The nuggets were about the size of quarter, if that big. They had a dusting of flour and looked nothing like the photo being advertised. I was not happy, no sauce like it said on my receipt, the sandwich was a joke, the coleslaw was ok and I got a medium root beer. I should have know better, the last time I got a meal there , same thing, you get screwed. This is my last visit. If you go check your order before you leave the drive thru, the management there stinks. You don’t get what you order.Thise nuggets, what a joke!!!!
