My family and I absolutely love this place! I actually worked here for about 3-4 years while in college, and it was such an amazing place to work — the team, the vibe, everything. The ambiance is always welcoming and warm, the food is consistently amazing, and the cocktails? Delish every time!
We’ve celebrated so many special occasions here, from birthdays to events for my sister’s wedding — including her bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. It’s one of the very few places in town that can comfortably host a large party, which makes it perfect for family gatherings.
I also had the pleasure of attending their first-ever Cowgirl Luncheon during rodeo week, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s festivities. Truly, this place always goes above and beyond to take care of me and my loved ones. We’re here for dinner several times a month!
Pro tip: don’t sleep on the cut of the week — it’s nearly always my favorite dish on the menu. Overall, The Maddox family has done an incredible job maintaining a fantastic facility with a great staff. Chef John deserves a special shoutout for his amazing work in the kitchen.
Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for great food, atmosphere, and service!
This is really classy place with a great atmosphere and excellent cocktails. Went here for the first time with a group of friends and it was agreat spot to catch up. They got busy for a while in the evening, but the bar staff worked like mad to fill everyone's order. Sean was our bartender and he did a great job and made some good recommendations for us to try. We will be back.
I had the pleasure of having dinner with my lovely wife at the Reata on 3rd, and it was incredible! The food is great, the drink menu is very impressive as well. It was one of the best Old Fashions I've had! The building is sleek, sophisticated, and welcoming. I highly recommend trying it out if you haven't yet!
We visit annually for the Oakdale Rodeo from Reno NV. We, as a large group, were so fortunate to have friends here to tell us this was the place to eat! Amazing food, service, etc BUT the best part was one of our friends left their money clip and when we came back in a panic, they had already secured it and there wasn’t a dime missing! Thank you for the WHOLE package!
Loud music. The Reata does not care about local residents being affected by the loud music
We went out for an early Valentine’s dinner on a Wednesday night and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The atmosphere was great. I appreciated that there was some division between The dining areas so it was not loud and we could visit. The service was prompt and really friendly. The food….the food was amazing. I had the scallops and practically licked the plate clean, so delish. My husband enjoyed the cut of the week…an aged filet mignon and it was melt in your mouth tender. We highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner.
Favorite restaurant and best pizza within the Modesto area!
Great food, nice spot, good service. I eat here weekly.
Reata on 3rd was A beautiful restaurant with a very nice atmosphere.
But honestly the food was nothing to write home to mama about.
The deep fried ravioli was mediocre.
The Beef stroganoff was $37 and was somewhat tasty but just not worth that price tag.
The pizza was nothing special either.
A $25 thin pizza with not that much flavor.
Overall. It was Okay.

I hosted a Bridal Shower at Reata on 3rd for 13 people. They set us up in Wine Cellar which was perfect for the size of my party and was set off from main area, which gave us private party vibes. Chef John was wonderful to work with in setting menu selections and prepared a wonderful meal! And Maggie did a great job accommodating our needs and was super attentive in serving. Thank you so much to the entire team!

My husband and I went here last night for our wedding anniversary. We came here from out of town. When we first entered, we were met by two young blondes with long hair who were rude as hell. They looked to be completely annoyed by our presence. One of them took us to our table. We sat down and she handed my husband his menu, and she accidentally dropped mine. She was visibly annoyed that she dropped it and after she picked it up off of the floor, she rudely handed it to me and walked away. She didn't tell us if someone would to be coming to take our drink orders or that our waitor/waitress would be right with us. Nothing. We weren't sure if we were supposed to go up to the bar to get our drinks or if we were supposed to wait for our waitress. Fortunately our waitress showed up shortly after. When she arrived, she was kind and took our drink, appetizer, and entrée orders. She continuously came back and made sure that our drinks were filled and that we were happy with our meal. Everything as far as the food and drinks was fabulous, except for the desserts. Compared to the rest of the food, it was sub-par. Their beer and wine menu was on point. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great first impression. If we ever come back, we hope to be treated better upon arrival.

Great atmosphere, good wine. Bring some friends and have fun.
I took my family for dinner here when visiting. The space is beautifully done. Everyone loved their dinner...we had the special sea bass, chicken parmesan, shrimp and grits, pizza...they were all delicious! For appetizers we had the beef carpacio and the Thai mussels. The Thai clams were some of the best things we ever had. The broth was complex and layered. The wine list was small but had some good offbeat wines like Cakebread Cellars. I understand this is a new owner for this restaurant...great first impression for me! Thank you!
