I've been driving by this place for years and seeing the big 40 beers writing on the roof and if you've seen my reviews, you know I love me some beer. So I finally got a chance to stop in, and I was pretty surprised by what I found. The inside had a fair amount of seats, in a couple of sections. The Bartender was great, and the beer menu was really good. Admittedly, I don't think there were 40 beers currently on tap, but it was 20+. And the food menu was Fire. I ended up with pastrami reuben, cause that's what I do. And it was good. Good ratio of meet, tasty pastrami, nice and cheesy. Super solid. My wife got the turkey melt and she was over the moon about it. Per her, "they heated up the turkey", which I guess isn't that common. So she loved the sandwich and said she wants to go back. So yeah, I think we're going back :)

Really cool place to be I know that there is live music sometimes in the summer.
Don't expext anything fancy..but the food was good. Tavern style atmosphere. The owner & staff are good people. Don't let the building deter you, go...eat...& play horse shoes!

Shively's was a treasure that we found in Oakdale CA, catfish Friday is phenomenal. Ice cold beer and some of the best catfish nuggets & fries to be had. So refreshing to find somewhere close to a camping spot to have a fantastic dinner. We know that the next time we're down in the area that we will be going there again. They have 40 taps to choose from and the service is excellent. Just don't get much better than that.

We love Shiveleys! It's like a small town reunion, with fun food and beers! It's super impressive that the owner cooks, and all our food for 6 came out hot and yummy at the same time! Always a good time
