I’ve been here twice and the food has been consistently fresh and delicious, definitely better than the Denny’s in my hometown. Although the first waitress we had wasn’t very friendly, the rest of the staff was amazing.

I’ve been a loyal customer for Denny since I was 17 1972 Santa Maria California. I’d ride my bicycles there. I love Denny’s, I still do. I’ve been going to Oakhurst over the last several Months, always great service. The food was good and employees were very courteous, then came last Wednesday. It started very nice. There was a gentleman sitting at a table with a laptop, computer parentheses district manager. He started sending people home telling the manager they need to cut the labor cost. I never received refill my coffee and when I asked for coffee, the Cook came out of the kitchen and poured me a coffee from the pot. It was ice cold. I decided to leave I stood up, walked to the register and for the longest time. I just waited. I just left cash down on the counter and left I’m sure if I had walked out the waitress that was sent home earlier would’ve been responsible for it. This is what’s wrong with Dennys. What happened to customer service first what happened to Dennys and why does someone the laptop applicant hours? Decide if I get good service or not this is probably what happened to Coco‘s and Carole‘s and all the other chains that are disappearing. They’re blaming it on everything else but it’s people in the mighty dollar and what’s important. It is labor cost, and not the Customer.

Being locals and having tried this Denny's several times years ago, we were amazingly surprised! Our past visits included all of the elements from every older bad review. Something has drastically changed and it's for the better. Now granted, we went for a late dinner so diners were few, but everything had become stellar in comparison to past visits! Food (prepared exactly as requested), Portions, Service (thanks again Jeffery!) were above reproach. Thanks again for a great experience!

It was last resort to eat as all others were closed or 40 min wait. Food wasn't great the place was so dirty and the service was terrible they just didn't care about anybody or anything

We stopped for breakfast and they took long to give us a table, long to take our order and longer to serve our food. It seemed like they were short staffed. The food was ok but so late and they brought mine then a few minutes later my husband's and the kids order was wrong so they had to take it back. The silverware was dirty. All 4 sets were gross. We asked for plastic forks. I felt bad for the waitresses because they seemed like they were making an effort.

our experience was absolutely above and beyond. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server ,Jeffrey went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, which made the whole experience even better. This place exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Sometimes people are quicker to complain than to appreciate great service, this spot deserves more credit.
