We ate at Idle Hour for dinner and we absolutely loved it! Being from the UK we love our Mediterranean tapas-style food and this hit the spot. We had the chorizo, pork belly and carbonara sharing style and it was all delicious. A welcome change from other types of restaurant in the area
Took the wife and in-laws for a little wine tasting, and we were not disappointed. I would consider us as fairly ignorant of most wine pairings and flavors, but the small treats and "wine flight" were perfect for us. Glass prices were modest, and the staff was very polite.

I highly recommend Idle Hour winery and kitchen in Oakhurst. I found out about the winery when looking for a place to eat in the area on the Internet and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my more memorable meals. I had one of their wines, which was outstanding with a salmon dinner accompanied by a very large salad. I usually don’t have dessert, but, being gluten-free, I decided to try their flourless chocolate cake. I’ve never had one I’ve particularly liked, but I doubt...
