Best tacos and Indian tacos in the area. Very friendly and welcoming. Love buying the fresh made jams and salsa.

Very rustic setting but also very authentic. It was clear that the local tribe was running this food stand. Nice collection of homemade salsas and jellies for sale as well.Prices are very good and the preparation is to order.Overall everything we ordered was tasty and good portion sized. The only thing missing was some salt and a lot of salsa. With all the jarred salsas for sale at the stand, I would have thought that they'd have one or two open for customers to use on their food. It needed a good dose of "zing".

You never know if this place will be open. They don't honor their posted hours of noon to 6 pm. Twice we have driven over there and they are closed. The least they could do is post a sign at the entrance to the dirt road saying we are closed. When they are open the food is great.

I finally tried these guys and I was very happy with their tacos. The meat and beans were simple but with their salsa it was very good, next time I would ask for 2 salsas as one wasn't enough. The taco shells were perfect for these tacos! The people were awesome and being able to sit outside on a picnic table with nice views were good. Their prices were excellent and I'm definitely coming back and trying other items! Loved it! Loved the service, very concerning that their customers were happy!

A must when visiting Yosemite National park! We ordered a little of everything and it was all delicious. The fry bread was fluffy!

We stopped here on our way out of the Oakhurst area before a long drive home, and I'm glad we did! The fry bread base of these tacos was so delicious, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. We sat at one of the picnic benches out front and enjoyed the gorgeous view. We also ordered a chocolate fry bread (not pictured) to eat in the car, and it was perfectly crisp, chewy, chocolatey, with a balanced sweetness. YUM. All of the employees were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would stop here again anytime we pass through town.

Technically "Coyote Tacos" run buy members of one of the original families of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. Amazing Tacos made on Indian Fry Bread. They also sell preserves made with locally grown berries. Right off of Hiway 41 if you are heading towards Yosemite National Park. You will be glad you stopped by.

We saw a sign and followed it. So glad we did, we found delicious tacos and super friendly people. We will be going back for more. Get some, it's worth the drive.

Authentic native tacos that are delicious. Not only do I love the tacos but I love supporting local small businesses belonging to the indigenous people.

Went to Coarsegold for a visit, and stopped in to try an Indian taco. Firstly, the food was AMAZING! Made with so much love and absolutely delish. We ended up taking back a couple jars of their famous homemade jams. I wish I bought more. And I also picked out the most spectacular pair of earrings, that I have just received so many compliments on, everywhere I go. If you are in the region - do not miss it!!! Go have some homemade food made with a lotta love and then check out the casino a couple minutes away!!

I have a Native American friend that makes the most awesome Indian Tacos, if I could award her stars I would give her 5 for sure. Recently I wanted to drive to Coarsegold, Ca to look for Coyote Taco which is just ahead on Hwy 41 passing Chukchansi Casino turning right in front of Dollar General less then 1/4 mile up the road on the right. The place looks like a small cabin with menu boards carved in wood, with wonderful nice people there ready to serve you taking your order, you can sit on picnic tables outside, I didn't order the chocolate dessert they offered me, next time I will try it out, the Indian taco was very good with fresh ingredients and price was reasonable. Business Hours were 12-6PM Friday- Sunday

This is a hidden gem if you're around the area! I believe the name of the place is called "Coyote Taco" not the name listed on Yelp. It is a cute little wooden shack filled with friendly and welcoming staff. There is a very cozy and home-y vibe with a natury scenic ambience. The food was delicious! The dough of the tacos had a great crispy/chewy texture and the toppings provided a delicious filling. It is not spicy so maybe ask if they have any other options for sauces if that's what you prefer. The "small" was not much smaller than the large (which was about the size of a plate) so take that into consideration if you're not a big eater. The tostada has a nice and crispy base and had the same toppings as the tacos. For dessert, try their fry breads- the chocolate one taste kind of like a cake with a doughier texture. I loved the food and it was a great opportunity to try something new. Perfect for those picnic vibes too!

Stopped by here with our family on our vacay. Such a humble cool little spot with some down to earth cooks. The fry bread is BOMB! So fluffy! Good conversation and good food. It's a hidden gel but worth the find. Kids had fun running around and the food was cooked fast! Thank you guys I hope we can come by again!
