South Gate Brewing Company

South Gate Brewing is always a fun place to eat. I had the blue cheese hamburger with sweet potato fries. It was so delicious the flavors blended together perfectly. The fries were crisp and tasted so good with ranch dressing. My husband enjoyed the BBQ hamburger.

The food and service are great so we visited two nights in a row while experiencing Yosemite. I recommend the Beer Cheese and Pretzels, Lineman's Philly, fries, house-made root beer, and the Chicken Torta. The broccolini was good too.

Unfortunately half the menu wasn't available so it wasn't the widest selection of food. Staff were nice and the beer was good

Front door area is cramped. Too many items on the menu and yet not enough. Having seafood options is not always necessary and allows you to focus on making sure the rest of your menu tastes good and has quality. Artichoke hearts had weird crispy bits in the basket. Beer Cheese for the pretzels got cold fast, mountaineer pizza with fennel sausage had way too much fennel. I enjoy fennel but, I could not taste the mushrooms or the red onion or the sauce just overwhelming fennel on a good pizza crust. Hibiscus lemonade cocktail tasted great. Server was fantastic, she was very polite, very friendly, and handled the full section of tables like a professional. Overall just very disappointing menu wise. But the people were incredible.

on a 10000 mile cross country trip and 1st time in Yosemite, staying at the Sierra Sky Ranch. they recommended SGB for lunch, and it did not disappoint. our hardest task was deciding what to choose as there were so many delicious items to choose from we decided on two different burgers and shared. both were delicious and cooked perfectly. the staff, energy, vibe and music were all fantastic. I would highly recommend SGB to all for a great meal and beer.

Everything at the pub exceeded our expectations. The service was quick and attentive. The beers were delicious, spot on for style. The food was better than the average pub food. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere casual and not rushed. I would definitely go again and recommend it to friends.

We went here to celebrate my birthday. Great service, great food and amazing beer. Love that they make everything there.

My wife and I loved it here. The food was brilliant (definitely recommend the smash burger). The beer and wine were great. And the service was excellent. Baby friendly too! Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Delicious, the food was so good. Customer service was excellent. Props to the chef. We had the rib eye, pork belly wraps and the wings along with the blonde gold digger beer.

I have been traveling around the US and Canada for a six month sabbatical. I have visited many breweries and I have been a craft beer nerd for many years. I was truly amazed with the quality of their brews from Red IPA, Brown Ale, Nitro Stout, and others. Beers were so good, I'm thinking about making another stop in there before I continue on with my 20K mile road journey. I believe I recall the Brewmaster's name was, Rich. A big round of applause for creating mighty fine brews. Cheers 🍻 👏 ✌️
I had a pizza 🍕 😋 along with going above the duty of service by the bar tender. Just an overall great atmosphere and experience. I'm a bit jealous Oakhurst has such a great brewery and restaurant. Wish I had this place back in South Carolina.

My mom and I ate here last night and we loved our food. I got the ribeye steak and my mom got the black bean burger with sweet potato fries. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend eating here! 🤗🥰😋

It was an early, quiet evening but the Brussels sprouts and specials were sold out so we had very limited options. The dining room was FREEZING. Our group and other patrons all had their coats on. Our waitress was amazing and took great care of us.
