South Gate Brewing Company

The restaurant was very crowded on a Friday night but with our reservation, we were immediately seated. Our server was very pleasant but not very fast. The table next to us was seated after us but received their order before us. The food was good.

Although South Gate was busy, our server and other staff were welcoming and attentive. The beer selection and brew pub BBQ was great. It was a lively midday Sunday and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent meal, service and ambiance. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The burger and fries were prepared to perfection, and the fish and chips hit the spot. As a Belgian/ American couple, we know our beers and enjoyed the SouthGate IPA and Belgian Chimay. Also, the price point was quite reasonable as compared to restaurants with similar offerings. Highly recommend.

We are a family of 4, we've been there at the middle of July 2025.
Read the good reviews and came straight into their walk up list.
It took them about 30 minutes to let us in, and we were the last family in. The waitress was patient and willing to help us set the best order for us.
The food was very generous and tasty, but the mac and cheese didn't meet our son's expectations.

We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, filling and served with a friendly welcome. The team were nice and the whole place had a great atmosphere it was totally packed. Wise to book in advance if you have time.

Came here after a day in Yosemite. Sometimes brewery food can be a little hit-or-miss, but was definitely a hit. The food was excellent. Heather was our waitress and she was fantastic. The outdoor patio was a welcome addition so that you can have a beer while you wait for a table. Fantastic experience all around.

Nice place, wish the food was better . Seems to me being a brewery the food could be as good as some of the beer. Was not impressed and really dissatisfied with food options also appetizers. They also no longer have deep fried pickles which were one of the best ones . Kinda pricy and I dont really go there anymore cause of it. Beer good but also too pricy

Exceptional food, fresh ingredients and fantastic flavours. Brussel starter was amazing, burger perfect, mac and cheese one of the best I have ever tried, salads were super fresh with wonderful flavours, wine was incredible, oh and the beers were pretty darn good.
