I have never experienced any of the food related issues in reviews. We have found the food to be great. Granted, the place is a little funky but that's no problem. I have never observed any racial issues. My kids are both Chinese, so I pay attention to such things. Their hours do change, so it's good to call ahead. Very few businesses require masking in Oakhurst . I think it's a little weird, but there you go. I'd rate them 4.5 stars.

Great Pizza and great service! The owners seem to really care about their customers and they believe in Freedom. Every time I go to Yosemite I plan to support this place!

It’s clearly a family business, but I didn’t feel at home. The ambiance it overcharged with religious quotes and decor, at the point that it made me feel uncomfortable, probably the opposite of what the owners wanted, but I doubt they spend time thinking about giving the best customer service. We first thought about dining in, but the service was slow and the place felt crowded and uncomfortable that we decided to order to go. It took forever for our order to be ready, and we witnessed major management issues. The pizza was good, but not worth the experience.

Sugar Pine pizza was so delicious, excellent food. It was wonderful to find gluten-free pizza, it was very very good. ????

We thought it would be a good idea to eat local rather than at a chain pizza place so we found Sugar Pine Pizza right on the 41. We were heading up to Wawona to stay at the hotel and our plan was to eat the pizza there after we checked in. We didn't even open the box to see how it looked because we wanted it to stay hot. Anyway, we checked in at the Wawona Hotel and sat down on the patio with a nice bottle of red wine, opened the box and..... the height of the pizza was less than 1/2 inch and that's with sauce, cheese and toppings. The crust looked sort of like a cracker. Biting into the pizza was shocking. It was awful. The crust did not appear to have any substance other than maybe flour and water. It was flavorless. The sauce was almost nonexistent. The cheese was the absolute minimum that could cover the sauce. It was the most bland and disappointing pizza I have ever had the experience of eating. We ate it because it was during COVID and there was no food being served at Wawona other than a very pricey buffet. We laughed about it and said we should have gone to the chain pizza place. At least THEY know how to make pizza. Another reviewer complained about the religiosity of the pizza parlor. I thought it was cute. They even had a Christian MTV type station on with music videos. The employees were all really nice, although no one wore masks. There was a sign right outside the front door that said something like "Trespassers will be Shot" but I am pretty confident they were not referring to customers. But, bottom line, don't order pizzas here. Get the salad.

Go to Me n' Eds or Round Table Pizza instead -- both stand up pizza businesses. Sugar Pine has absolutely horrid pizza. And the environment inside is creepy and unsettling. No one seemed happy. Management was rude. Phone ringing off the hook with no one answering. I'm really shocked this place is in business.

I didn't expect to love this place but absolutely loved it. Extremely friendly staff and they have the cutest dog who hangs out around the building. Yes they are pro gun, pro Jesus folks and there are signs that say "no masks required" but they are real people and the pizza was great! We didn't mind, we are fully vaccinated and appreciate the first amendment. Having signs up doesn't take away from the quality of the food or the positive vibes of the staff. It's cozy, clean and a little corky. A gem!

We ordered the margharita pizza and wings. Food was just ok but food options are limited in this town so it worked for us. The family that runs this place was super sweet and welcoming.

Just visited this cozy pizza place with my family. The owner is very kind, helpful and welcoming. The pizza was amazing as well as the homemade ranch. They also run a church service on sundays which I love. Really made me feel at home. We will be coming back in our future visits to Yosemite!!

First of all, the food was amazing. The menu was extremely varied and creative. In terms of service, we were never unattended and everyone was very hospitable; it feels more like eating at a friend’s house than being at a restaurant. Also, the entire faith-based ambience is a total plus! Inspiring quotes on the walls and Christian music on the background surely adds value to the whole experience.

Good pizza great service!!! Asked for pizza well done and it was the best. We ran in a few minutes before closing because we had hungry kids and they had no problem with it... we were calling around town for food and most places closed 30min before posted times.

Super welcoming family restaurant with delicious pizza. We stopped on our way to Bass Lake with our two small children and were warmly welcomed. Kids were antsy from sitting in the car for hours and the owners were happy to let them wander a little. Very family-friendly with yummy food -- exactly what we needed on our drive!
