Plazuelas Mexican Restaurant

We were hungry, saw this place, had zero expectations, and the food was excellent! Service was great, place had a cool vibe. Definitely recommended and we would certainly return. Thank you Plazuelas staff and excellent chefs. ?

Jesus was our bartender, great service and fun watching him making drinks! Our chips and salsa came out very quickly right after sitting down. My fiancé and I both ordered margaritas and our meals were the Carnitas and the Salsa Roja Enchiladas with carne asada. Both were amazing! We loved it and would definitely come back. We’re here on vacation and wish it was closer to home. Haha we live all the way back in Northern Michigan.

Easy to reach, parking spaces available. It's relatively loud in the restaurant, so you can't have a good conversation (but that's the only drawback).

This place is the spot. The ambience and decor is great. The food is delicious. Everything tastes really authentic and fresh. We have come 3 nights in a row. Our server Alejandro was the best. He was super attentive every time. He’s on top of his game and just super cool. The margaritas are beautiful and some of the best we have ever had. Finally the salsas are so tasty!! We will for sure be back

It's probably the best place around Oakhurst in my opinion. Their chips and salsa are delicious and pair great with their modest beer and cocktail menu. And I personally loved the Al Pastor tacos.

Their tables are a little goofy with some smaller ones being cluttered for a group of 4, and the entrance of the restaurant has no real room for you to wait as they prep the table, other customers were either standing outside or looked like they were part of your party, but the staff are very fast and efficient when seating you, and very attentive for when you are ready to order.

Chips and salsa were top shelf! Dad had Carne Asada burrito and it was excellent. Ginormous! Mom and Daughter had 3 fish tacos. Fish was overcooked but still tasty. Service was terrific and friendly. Food came out quickly on a Wednesday @ 7pm

No vegetarian options. Basic burrito without meat is the same price as the burrito with all the trimmings. Asked for chili flakes, they don’t carry that in this ‘Mexican’ restaurant. Asked for hot salsa and the server brought a burnt, bitter salsa that tasted awful. When I mentioned that, he said I was going to get charged for it anyway. No replacements or attempt to explain if that is how that was supposed to taste. My friends had orders with carne asada and they both said the meat was really dry. Really poor customer service. We had to ask for water refills repeatedly until they would fill our cups. Save yourself the headache and go to the Chipotle across from it.

Excellent Mexican cuisine, prepared with love and served in good humor.
The menu is a successful selection, my tacos with steak were perfect. The service team is attentive and cheerful, the visit here was a pleasure!

The food, atmosphere, and value were outstanding. Our waiter Marco was super nice and we had great service. We will definitely go again. We are from Las Vegas and we wish this restaurant was closer to us.
