Did a photo shoot in Yosemite and our photographer said one of his friends had said this was the best Mexican they had outside of Mexico.
I haven’t been to Mexico but this was pretty good. Draft beef was great and the food was quick and delicious. Worth the drive down the mountain.

I was here visiting from Houston Texas and was really craving some Mexican food, but it was a little hard to find in this area. We came across this place and thank God we did because it was AMAZING! I was very impressed by the quality of their food and how authentic it tasted compared to other “Mexican” restaurants in the area. We ordered a quesabirria plate and I ordered gorditas and let me tell ya, I was in heaven for a second lol! If you’re in the area and you’re looking for great authentic MEXICAN food this is the spot!

My second time dining at Plazuelas, I liked more the first time, both of my visits ate carnitas.

Don't know if the food is any good, didn't get any because the service was so slow. Host was watching football on her phone. It Took at least 10 minutes to get greeted in a less than half full restaurant, no chips, drinks finally came (very expensive and small) server did not return for at least another 10 minutes. Couple that came in after us was getting their food as we decided to leave. Don't waste your time.

The Chicken Burrito was really not great. The waiter was super-friendly. The steak burrito was much better, hopefully they improve the chicken one as well.

Best shrimp & chicken! Carne Asada and Carnitas were both good. Quesadilla was huge and filled with cheese. Salsa good flavor, not chunky, with just enough kick. Great chips!

Three years ago, I ate here and loved it! So I was excited to share this wonderful food with my family. Sadly the food was average. It seemed flavorless and was not plated as beautifully as my previous experience. The service was slow and some of the menu items were really high. Disappointing experience.

The two stars are for the friendly and helpful staff. However, the portions were smaller than expected. The food came out lukewarm at best and the price was way excessive for what was served. Living in Southern we have some great small Mexican restaurants, this place wouldn’t stay open compared to them. Tourist prices with average food. No thanks.

Rude hostesses checking in people upfront- We had a 7 pm reservation and got a few minutes late coming out of Yosemite so we called ahead to let them know. We said we were 10 mins away and the guy said ok just come on in we will keep your table. When we got there hostesses outside said no you are now at the bottom of the line because you were few minutes late. When we told them we just called and spoke to someone they didn’t care. Poor service and hospitality.
