It's a Denny's, just with longer waits and poorer service, i.e. can't eat it in store and taking twice as long to make.
Found they are under new management , Hundred percent turned around From a year ago Food was excellent Service was friendly and fast I will go back again
First class service and a delicious cobb salad. The waiting staff were very friendly. I'd go back if I'm this way again. Great.
Worst experience ever!!! First off the melt down I just Denny's, had I know that I would not have ordered. Then I am getting text that my meal is complete but can't find the place because it's Denny's with a different address. Nothing to tell you this outside, from the street. Then I go in to pick up my order thet they are texting me is done, oh but no it's not ready yet. They are missing one sandwich. So 20 minutes later we get our food, no drinks just the food, can tell when we get back to the room and open them up mine, and my sons hot mess, was a cold excuse. They call this a melt, all that melted was the bread. I could not find the cheese. Then the sandwich we waited on that was forgotten, the feeling grovey melt was no where near the photo, or ingredients, just a slab of chicken, and spinach, that was all. No bacon, no onion ring!!!My son who is in the hospitality industry (restaurant) was disgusted by the product. Wanted to take it all back but wife said no. So I filed mine and my son's in the trash and went to Carl's Jr. Go figure. Would never refer this garbage to anyone. Look at the photos of this 15.00 sandwich
This place is/was short staffed, but our server was working fast and furious, and he was very efficient. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and giving them your business. The food was fresh, the coffee was shot, and the fruit cup was tasty.
Food was as expected for a Denny's. However, the place is dirty. They probably haven't swept cobwebs in years, windows had spider webs and dead bugs in the corners, etc. We went on Memorial Day, so maybe that was part of the problem but the hostess was overwhelmed and ornery, not friendly at all. Service was slow, too. If other places are open, try them instead.
After a long drive from Las Vegas, we checked into our hotel, and went out to look for a restaurant to eat, we drove past and noticed there were tables available (now we know why!!) We ordered 2 x bourbon steaks (1 medium rare, and 1 medium) and a bourbon burger. Both steaks were undercooked (plates covered in blood) But the worst part was all of the food arrived COLD, not sure how the kitchen can manage to send ALL the food out cold! The steaks were cold, the mashed potato was cold and lumpy, and the gravy on top was congealed and had a skin on top!! And the burger and chips were also all cold!! We would have mentioned it to our server, but after delivering our food, she asked if we needed anything else, we asked for mayonnaise but we never saw the mayonnaise or our server again. We went to the cash register to pay, and we’re going to mention what we thought but we were never asked if everything was OK. We are obviously not local, so won’t be returning, but had to warn others - AVOID
Thank goodness we got in to the restaurant before a crowd came in as It seemed only a couple waitresses were working. We had a very nice young lady helping us. The waitress even pointed out that there was a cheaper version of what we were ordering. But we didn’t get an AARP discount we noticed on the menu at another Denny’s. The draw back to this restaurant was the flies it was disgusting I don’t know what the issue was but it was very distracting. I would’ve given this a better review as the food was decent. Two people for 26 bucks I don’t think that’s bad at all. we gave a good tip because as I said the waitress deserved it on 9/11/22.
We always have great food at Denny's. The staff is always very polite and food comes quick. The restaurant is always nice and clean too
The food and staff were great however what lets this Dennys down is the smell of grease when you enter. At a guess I'd say they need to service/replace their extractor fans. If they fix this I would give 10/10

The food is great but at the time I visited in June 2022, their staff was extremely limited (2-3 people) so the waiting time to get seated and served with food was 20 minutes each.
2 stars only for the staff and food, it's a dump otherwise. 0 stars for the property. Pretty filthy inside and out with very sticky floors throughout and an obvious exhaust fan issue in the kitchen causing a grease haze in the dining room. The owner of this location appears to be a slum lord, it's very run down and used up. The staff we're friendly and food was perfect, the building is just totally run down, we would not recommend or go back, felt dirty sitting down and breathing the air!
If you want greasy food you have come to the right place. Decor terribly dated . Smell of grease and reused oil all over the place. Very downmarket feel but people love it. Only forks and spoons, no knives in cutlery drawers.
Under Staffed as in two workers in the entire place, one cook and one all purpose employee! needs to be cleaner and a comfortable inside temp.
WOW! After looking around for breakfast spots on Saturday night, a few of them were 10-15 minutes outside of Oakhurst and nothing else really caught our eye. Luckily for us, we were staying next to a Denny's. Anyway, we read some of the reviews and ratings here. Ouch. I could not believe it. I've never had a bad time at a Denny's. Well, my lady and I decided to have breakfast at Denny's this morning and it was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and courteous. I ordered coffee and it showed up a minute later. We knew right away what we wanted and did want to take up any more time. I had the chorizo skillet breakfast. It was so good. I mean, it was one of the best breakfast skillets I've ever had. My lady loved the gluten-free muffin along with her Make-Your-Own Breakfast plate and she made a breakfast sandwich out of it. In all, Denny's should've been our first choice, but because we were in a small town, we thought let's do local, but Oakhurst is not known for breakfast. Hit up Denny's for breakfast. We recommend it.
