I'm embarrassed to say this but I grew up in Orangevale and this was my first time here! And all I can say is WOW! I have been missing out! Maria was our server and she was amazing. So nice and attentive. Great service. And the food? I can't find a monte cristo anywhere. It was soooo good! Prices were great and you get so much food! We will definitely be back!

Oh. My. Goodness. This place is everything and more. It's like an episode of Cheers- where everybody knows your name! It's like walking back in time before people were connected to an iPhone all meal long. People chat with each other, and the AMAZING server, Maria, asks your name, and remembers it! Having experienced a myriad of breakfast spots throughout Sac, we weren't expecting anything spectacular. BOY WERE WE WRONG! breakfast was exceptional. One of the best we've ever had! Get the bacon! And have Maria as your server! Run!

A group of 12 of us had breakfast at Ashley's today. Everything was wonderful. My wife and I split a Monte Cristo sandwich and it was plenty of food for each of us - perfectly prepared and a reasonable price ($12.63!). Everyone else in the group felt the same way. Fun note: a customer had a birthday while we were there (not one of our group) and the staff encouraged the entire dining room to join in singing 'Happy Birthday', and we all did. The dining room was a perfect size for this - not too big and impersonal. We can't wait to go back.

Our cycling group of twelve stopped there for breakfast on a morning ride. With a call ahead, tables were setup to allow for continued conversations. Special requests were accommodated without a blink and food all arrived at the same time so no one left waiting while others ate. They were quite busy but the staff faithfully came around to see how we were doing and refresh coffee. All reported their orders were large and delicious. And my favorite - the French Toast - the best in town. Great choice.
