Been here 4 times. Not a bad place. Decent portions for the price. But service is kinda rushed and they got a few things incorrect. Food quality is good but a little on the underseasoned/oversalted side. Place is also not the nicest/cleanest looking but good enough. Overall 4 stars.

La Placita has been serving the Orangevale/Sacramento region for over 35 years, and I’ve been bringing my family here ever since we moved into the area back in 1998. The food has always been consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices won’t break the bank.
It’s no surprise the place is usually packed in the evenings — locals know how good it is! My personal favorite is the Patrick Burrito Grande — strips of steak with sautéed tomato, bell pepper, onion, rice, beans, and cheese. So delicious!
Friendly service, authentic flavor, and a welcoming atmosphere make this place a true gem. Highly recommended!

Shout out to La Placita ! I think it’s been about 5 to 7 years since I’ve been to the restaurant. My family and I have been eating there for over 20+years . I can’t tell you how excited I was to see some friendly faces still there. The food was off the hook like they’ve never skipped a beat. Same excellent service and same excellent food.

The (two kinds of) hot sauce in squeeze bottles are a very nice touch.
I called in an order for pick up 15 minutes before they closed. They were closed for 10 minutes when I arrived, opened door very friendly when I knocked, knew why I was knocking, not just someone trying to get service, brought out my order, made to perfection as ordered, with lots of napkins, sauces, and smiles! Was recommended to us from friends who live an hour away as "the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to." The time before, when I dined in, service was fantastic, I was there as part of a large group (with young children) and there was live music!

It's not much to look out from the outside. On the inside it's as simple authentic Mexican restaurant. Their food is delicious but it really lack salt. The salsa tasted more like tomato paste with their chips. The service was excellent as they checked on my friend and I. Periodically to see if we needed anything. It was a little bit annoying that they were mopping the store when there were several customers still in side.

Orangevale's best restaurant experience. I have been coming here for over 5 years now. The service quality is top notch, the atmosphere is buzzing with nice music and laughter, everyone is friendly, and the food is always hot and fresh. Very family friendly as well, they always gave my young child a free plate and even a churro at the end. Thank you staff, you are wonderful!

We moved 18 years ago and honestly i missed this restaurant so much! We had to come visit for a family emergency and straight off the plane thats where we went!!! Food and service was exactly the same! EXCELLENT!!! And after 28 years Jose remembered us, now thats amazing!! So glad we went you guys ROCK!!!
