It was suggested by the people at the National Park Visitors center to try the Elk burger. Outward appearance of the place was questionable. The people and the food there were fantastic. Tried the Elk burger. Cook suggested Swiss cheese and only mayo as the condiment. Fantastic! Better than beef
Wish I lived in the area just for the elk!
Cute quirky place near redwoods
Everyone was so nice. The food was average but the atmosphere was so fun
After years away, it was great to see Edebees Snack Shack still going strong! This spot remains a solid choice for a quick bite, offering the kind of friendly, efficient service that makes a difference when you're on the go.
The staff were welcoming, keeping the experience smooth and enjoyable. Whether you're grabbing something on a road trip or just stopping by for a snack, Edebees delivers exactly what you'd hope for—quick service and a convenient, no-fuss stop.
For a reliable spot to grab a fast and tasty snack with great service, **I definitely recommend it!**
Throwback burgers, elk burgers, buffalo burgers too... hand formed and cooked on a well seasoned flat top. Other things too like chicken strips... decent fries... good eats from literally a shack in a town that is coming back but remains largely dead after the mill closed.
Thank you for snacks on the way back from Redwoods. I needed chili fries. And you provided. 10/10 will eat again.
Burgers were good but pricey
Food was OK but EXPENSIVE, and the service was slow.
Pricey
This place is good for a quick, and satisfying bite. This snack shack delivers on classic fries and burgers without over complicating things. We had ordered chicken strips and fries (seagull’s nest) and a chicken burger. They were hearty and filling. The cheerful umbrellas add a fun, beachy vibe. Ketchup, mustard, and mayo stand like a condiment army on the counter.
Great food!
This was certainly a hidden gem! The food was delicious, and the company was entertaining. There was an older gentleman (a local) there, and we spoke with him the whole time we were there. He was so interesting, full of info and history. The lady (i'm assuming the owner) was also so friendly and very helpful with information for continuing our trip.
Sorry, back to the food. I had a single beef burger with grilled mushrooms and onions. Let me tell you, it was so very delicious. Hubby had a single beef burger with lettuce and tomatoes and also said it was amazing!!
Don't drive past this little Snack Shack, it's a sit outside and eat, it's a must stop!!!

Given there aren't many other options in the area this is a good lunch spot. We got a burger and a chicken wrap and both were good. Food is on the expensive side of things but they give you big portions.

Been here twice both times hours were inaccurate not sure if they just close whenever they feel like it but its been disappointing nevertheless been looking forward for the Elk Burgers. Would appreciate some consistency since our team works around the area the first time we went the Open sign was on and no one was there.
