The food was terrible, took us 30 minutes just to get seated and at the start all of our plates were dirty and had gunk on them. Don’t order anything from the regular menu, everything was really bad and the mashed potatoes from the extras are literally a brick. Only the kids menu fish n chips were good. It also smelled really terrible and even the signs are broken and the lights don’t work.
Not applicable because it was partially destroyed in the fires! Please make a note of that!
I, my boyfriend at the time, and another couple would eat at Gladstones many times in 1977-78. It was our most favorite restaurant.

This is definitely one of the oldest and nicest place in LA to offer good food next to a public and accessible beach.
One of the best time to go is by mid-afternoon as it’s less crowded and in the winter you can enjoy the sunset by 5pm. They do offer a lot of seafood dishes from the traditional clams chowder to the lovely lobster roll. For the kids they have a couple off-menu options such as a special kids fish n chips.
Definitely a great spot that I recommend for brunch and afternoon drinks and snacks.
Vegetarian options: Not too many option to chose from
Parking: They have a 13$ valet as well as a public parking available
Kid-friendliness: Next to the beach this is a great spot to enjoy a bite while the little ones are running on the beach
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible

We love Gladstones, and it’s a great place for our whole family including our little ones. The best Spanish coffee we’ve ever had, and I love the variety on the menu, the prices are very good ! The service is fun and friendly, I can only give the atmosphere a 3 because of ventilation, it does smell of deep frier from the kitchen. We are so happy we live close to gladstons 😋

We had the best waiter and his name was Devin. Made our experience all the merrier. The view is spectacular. The cocktails spectacular. The food was a bit spicy but delicious. We enjoyed the dolphins frolicking in the water and then a spectacular sunset. Sorry to use the word spectacular so many times but our afternoon celebrating a birthday couldn’t have been better.

We went to celebrate my 59th birthday We have been coming to this place for 35 years The waiter brought the wrong food to my daughter, Nobody offered to sing a Happy birthday from the staff Very unfriendly and lack of service waiter ,we as a family made the promise of never ever going back to eat there,The same came directly from the package you buy at Sam's club, not even rinse or fresh.
