Don Chon Menudo is a family favorite for good food without the Instagram hype. The tacos with consome and birria ramen are highly recommended, and the restaurant now also serves delicious chilaquiles, which are crispy and spicy, making them a standout dish. The menudo remains excellent, with a well-made broth and fresh, homemade tortillas. While the limited parking and outdoor seating might be a downside, there is a nice little seating area on the sidewalk. The birria and consome continue to be standout dishes, while the pozole may not be as impressive. Customers appreciate the good portions, simple atmosphere, and the warm, inviting setting that is perfect for both a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Despite only having one bench outside, this small, unassuming spot is worth stopping by for a satisfying experience, especially for the menudo, tacos, and now the chilaquiles. The restaurant is cash only but accepts Zelle and Venmo.
