We were visiting the Pala Mission, and right next to the Pala casino we saw this taco shop. It looked very non-descript, but the food was amazing, really well prepared. We tried the chicken, pollo asado plate, chips, and also carne asada taco. It was really well prepared and flavorful, one of the best Mexican foods I've had outside of San Diego. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

So I came here about a month ago and the service and food was actually pretty good. I stop here because it’s a way for me to avoid traffic and be able to eat something about half way home and calm down after a 12 hour shift in construction. This time as I was looking at the menu the same younger lady (brown eyes brown hair) who helped me last time gave me attitude and tried to rush me (I was the only person in the place btw)I could see her facial and body expressions in the corner of my eye as I was looking at the menu. I asked for 5 rolled tacos and asked if I could have the sour cream on the side. She said she can’t give me sour cream because there’s nothing to put it in either I can have it on or off. So I will not be coming here again, it’s a shame but respect goes a long way, and if you don’t give it you don’t get my money. Fix your attitude or get out of customer service. No wonder nobody else was in there.

Had the fajitas plate and ate every last scrap. It was delicious all around. Meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was fast. Weekday afternoon (~2:30) was mostly empty. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect place to stop and refuel after a hike!

Highly recommend. We stopped for the first time and everything was great! We ordered the 5 rolled tacos and the carnitas fries. Very friendly, fast service and comfortable setting. Will definitely return.

I walked in the restaurant thinking I was going to get great customer service with a happy smile. Instead I had a miserable morning over the terrible customer service that the cashier gave with a great attitude. You're running yourself out of business! Try better next time. Too bad I won't be there to see it.
Horrible place to go! I agree with the comments down below there is bad service here. I tried ordering but all I got was an attitude from a young lady at the register. She seems like she's mad at the world. I didn't even stay and finish the order. That's how unprofessional the service was. We will never go there again. The only good thing that came out of this is we went to the El Taco bar and the food and service was awesome!

This is the best example of a tiny little taco shop. It is a little hole-in-the-wall kind of place that has amazing TJ style street tacos and I imagine everything else would be excellent as well.
The staff was so friendly that the service reminds me of another time, when people actually cared about their clientele.
If you're passing by and hungry at all, stop in for a taco or three, you won't be disappointed.
