A bit off the highway and GPS provided a roundabout way to get there but we did finally arrive. Ambience is true western. Clean friendly vibe. Menu was mostly sandwiches. The chicken sandwich and burger were very good with large portions. Noted later that this area is the earthquake capital of the world in researching of quakes - interesting!
Amazing out of the way place. It was very clean and well maintained. The food was exceptional albeit a little expensive, but acceptable and not outrageous. We will be going there again soon. It is a great drive on back roads from San Miguel for a antique auto. The lineup at the counter to order food and drinks was slow and tedious really needing 2 people at the counter. Speed of food prep. was actually quite fast. The tables are a little crowded for sitting space. Their burgers were exceptionally good too! Overall, it was an exceptional place.

Had an amazing burgers and sandwiches! Outstanding service and the restaurant and shop are charming and historicly fun!
Great place to visit and the burger was delicious
First two times I had come here with my family, it was great. I came the last time which was my 3rd time. I wanted to order a top sirloin which was on menu for 35 dollars. Instead they told me they didn't have top sirloin, they only had Ribeye!?! Which was 50 dollars each. I ordered two, one for me and another for my father. I tipped and I noticed I was charged for 1 soda and 2 cokes? First transaction was 134 dollars. She said they had voided the whole transaction. But refunded only 119 to my account? They kept their tip! I then paid 117 dollars. Then I waited an hour and a half to just get my steaks. Even that, I had to walk over to the counter to receive my drinks while everyone else was served. When we did receive our steaks, the quality of steak was horrendous. It was burned and not to what we requested and also cold. Not to mention both steaks had bunch of fat and my father's ribeye was smaller than mine. Not what I had in mind. Their burgers are great but I was let down! They cheated me in my money for not giving a full refund and service was crap.
Great place worth the drive
Amazing food. What a great spot. Everything was fresh and the place was clean. Worth the trip.
Food and service were amazing. It’s 3 hours away for me but I will for sure be going back
We have been exploring the Central Coast for the best burgers in the area. We'd visited seven different cafes and restaurants and told a friend about our adventures. He suggested a visit to the Parkfield Cafe and I am very glad he did. It moved to the top of our list for several reasons. The ambiance is amazing. We were there on a cool, Fall afternoon, for lunch. The magnificent wood burning fireplace set the mood along with all of the Western paraphernalia hanging from the ceiling. The burger and fries were excellent - in particular the Parkfield Shakin' Burger. If I want to get away from it all, I am going to head back out here. I've signed up for their mailing list so I can be informed of all the events they host.
Nice place and atmosphere for quick lunch and enjoy the environment.

This may be a bit out of the way, but the meat here comes straight from the nearby V6 Ranch and also sits near the San Andreas Fault line. A good place to stop if you're dominating the trails here or taking photos here.

We have gone to Parkfield and the restaurant many many times. Staying over night several times over the past almost 20 years. But last Saturday our food orders were wrong. The onions could be taken off one of the sandwiches. The other was soaked in Mayo, which had been requester to not put Mayo. on the steak sandwich. I brought it to the servers attention.
Then the owner John came in and wanted to make it "right". He said he'd buy my lunch. Great, so he gave me a twenty. I waited and waited for my lunch. Turns out he paid for the messed up sandwich but NOT MY LUNCH! I LEFT WITHOUT EATING!
I had told him of my family tradgy and he seemed so genuine.
NOT SO! I AM SHOCKED AND DISHEARTENED BY HIS BEHAVIORS!
