This is definitely an underrated gem in Patterson. We got lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chow mein. Food was delicious, especially the lemon chicken. Customer service was outstanding and it was just an overall great experience. Definitely became my Chinese food of choice on Patterson. Highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FRIED RICE IVE EVER HAD !!!! This is a hidden gem the Mandarin House, everyone's afraid to go here because the restaurant is empty and has an old building, I've been practicing in this town for 37 years and haven't been in this restaurant for 10 years since the old owners, but the new owners slipped in with nobody noticing. Great find. Now I rotate between LI XU restaurant and this place Mandarin restaurant in Patterson.

Great family restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. Their lunch specials are affordable and well worth it. There aren't many bells or whistles as far as ambience but the sort of hole in the wall feel gives it the homey vibe that matches perfectly with the food and service on a foggy day. My family tried the mongolain beef, which my son highly recommends, the eggplant, and the Kung Pao combo lunch specials.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Stanislaus County. It's a family restaurant with a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing and they always give large portions. I highly recommend!

Sad this place wasn't good. We went on New Year's Day with a group of 6 & ordered a lot of dishes; sizzling soup, combination fried rice, bbq pork chow mein, eggplant with beef, Mongolian beef, honey walnut prawns, banana something, calamari & duck something, pot stickers & I'm blanking on the others. My issue is the food was overly salted, too much sauce on the dishes with sauce & the shrimp was foul. I bit into one & immediately spit it into my napkin. Thinking maybe it's a one off I tried some from another dish and same thing. The calamari was fried in a crispy dark yellow looking batter, like remnants & crumbs of overly fried food. Also I don't know if they didn't expect anyone to come in that day so the service was odd. The soup, rice and noodles came out late after other dishes. We never expect a rush on the food since it's a larger party & a lot of food, it was just an odd way to serve, especially when those are the quick dishes. Last but not least, the friends who ate the shrimp all got sick, my stomach was upset the next day.

Family owned and operated, friendly service, great homey flavors! Not greasy or too much salt - just right.

We love Mandarin House. Best orange chicken ever. Great quality, always made fresh. Haven't had one dish we didn't like. Excellent customer service. Won ton soup is really good too.

I ate it last month and tried it again today. Tasted even better then last time. I got a fresh order of everthing. I live in the country and the orange chicken was still crispy when i got home. The kung pao chicken had perfectly cooked vegetables. Not soggy. The fried rice with the special sauce is to be noted. Special sauce is Great! The thick chow mein noodle is always a favorite. I'll skip on the corporate Chinese food up the road and go to mandarin house every time!!! Home made cooking.

The food was disgusting. Ordered shrimp chow mein and it had a weird smell and taste. Also, ordered potstickers it tasted like old oil and hard. My first and last time ordering from there. Waste of money.
