Amazing spot! Highly recommended!

Great Micro brewery 10 minutes from Grass Valley. A full lineup of beers for all palates and a tasty food truck. Plenty of outside seating for those with furry friends. Also a great location for the seltzer crowd. The indoor seating has a nice view of the brewing operation. A great stop when on the tasting trail or go have a few pints!!! Say hi to Ian the head brewer!!

Went in last Friday night and not a great experience although I've been a couple times before and it's been fine.
Fri 730pm. ..sign on the door says no food truck due to the heat. OK I get it..it's the hottest day cooking.
So, I go in to at least put a couple beers down since their beers are tasty. The bartender says she just had last call. Really..730 on a Fri?
There was probably 8ish patrons in there. Hmmm, MAKE SURE you call ahead. I will next time.
Oh and it smells like wet dog in there, hence the name, if that bothers ya.

Tried it when they first opened it's was not good. I didn't know how people drank it.
Tried it again last month two sips was all I could do.

Good beer. Nice out of the way spot that's dog friendly and low key.

This is a little hidden gem in Penn Valley. They’ve got a solid menu of “bar food” and a comfortable area to sit (inside and out). I especially liked the Mastiff Bites. The burgers and fries were good too. My husband really likes their beer, too!

If you enjoy drinking overpriced beer and terrible bar food served out of a trailer by someone who is strung out this is a place for you.

I really like this place. They have good beer, but most of their choices are on the lighter side. They do have one stout on the list, but it's not as good as others available in town.They have a permanent food truck here that has some pretty tasty food. I like everything I've had there so far.Kid and dog friendly, both inside and outside with games for adults and kids available.Free water is also available from a machine near the bar.My only complaints are that they are far from town (good for Penn Valley, though) and that they charge an extra 3.99% fee if you use a credit card. With the pervasiveness of credit cards they shouldn't have a problem finding a better service, but they actually switched to the current service from one where they didn't need to charge this fee. Pretty disappointing.
