Hi I'm new to LW and so far I've found it to be very nice! everything is super clean and well-kept a completely Classey place to live, I have all different colored folks in my family and have not had any problems but there are idiots everywhere, I can go up for a weekend or so I'm working on me residing there permanent and i get complete peace and quiet and my grandkids can wander i feel they are safe. I have experienced racism at Lake Wildwood, Ca.

But in addition to that, it is time to raise all golf fees. Memberships, rentals, green fees, all of it must go up in price. There is no reason it needs to be the least expensive golf club in the area. It is not fair that our HOA fees keep going up to subsidize the golf community.

Let me also add, that the restaurant is nothing but a retirement home type cafeteria with wheat yellow paint color on the walls. So outdated, yet expensive. Worse, the burgers are awful!

If you are a person of color, and I am from a U.S. territory (whose grandfather was a high ranking official in the Army), considering to purchase a home in Lake Wildwood, heed my advice... This is a microaggressions galore community. You will find the Trumpy types... You will find the close-minded, ignorant kind of people, the know nothing about other cultures uneducated, obnoxious and condescending types. The Fox News watching crass cultists of the lowest common denomination. They live right here in Lake Wildwood, Penn Valley, CA. Never say I didn't warn you. Watch them try to hide this review.

It appears LWW has hidden my review. Racism is real and it is here in this community. Racism is highly offensive. So I will post my review elsewhere. Google is not the only platform on the internet to warn others. I meant what I said above. It's not okay to be racist and not be able to take some criticism in return.

Be careful if you want to live here.The water there is infested with E. coli and will kill your pets.It's beautiful and well kept though.But, these people (especially the lady named Kelly in Environmental Management) running the HOA there are fantastically awful. Kelly in particular will enter your backyard without introduction like something resembling a porcus hunting for truffles, and ironically spits at you like you're subhuman. Im not entirely sure if 3rd graders run that area, but it seems 3rd graders run that area.Honestly, good luck.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Lake life, an immaculate golf course, thriving clubhouse, and the best parks in the area - all for reasonable prices. It doesn't get much better than this :)

Nice community well kept

I was at the gate trying to pick up my nice from her mothers after working a long day. The security person was talking with the person in front of me (they were laughing and talking). After several mins I made a loud cough hoping it would speed up the line. The guard then mocked my coughing, and the person got out of his vehicle and cursed at me and threatened me. Once I pulled up to the gate the guard proceeded to tell me (in a loud tone) I’m rude and had no right to act like that , she said he lives here and that she was going to file a complaint against me. I said the line is 4 cars behind me and I’m just trying to pick up my niece. Then she said ,well he was filing a complaint. I asked to be let in and she continued to let me know (for another several minutes before letting me in) That a complaint would be logged against me, That I was just a visitor and I needed to wait until she was done with her conversation. Very unprofessional customer service (no matter the circumstances) in my opinion. I’m new to the area and will at every opportunity tell everyone not to move into a community that has this kind of customer service! What a magical place to live. We look forward to every day.

Love this place. Best golf course with the lowest fees. It is constantly being upgraded and repaired. The new clubhouse is absolutely stunning. Great bar and good food with live entertainment on a weekly basis. Friendly atmosphere within the gate.Security protects you from unwanted solicitations. Beautiful lake, community swimming pool and tennis courts.
