Spectacular. Went for my father's birthday and they had so many nice touches. But more importantly the food is beautiful, creative and exceptionally well executed. I grew up in Nevada County but currently live in Napa. I was so pleased to experience a restaurant in Nevada County that rivals many of the best restaurants in Napa. The service, the family vibe, and everything was just wonderful. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I was delighted to find this fine dining experience tucked in a shopping mall strip in Pen Valley. It is a bit of a trek for those of us that are further north on the 49 but the experience is worth the trip.The food was delicious, and the service of the wait staff was great. Great job on the options provided for people with dietary restrictions. The space is tight. On my 2 visits we were at the big table. I definitely was cramped on the bench.Vegetarian options: Not many options but the kitchen was accommodating.Dietary restrictions: No dairy, gluten freeWheelchair accessibility: Our friend was in scooter. Was easy access on the side entrance.

So we decided to try the Twelve 28 restaurant. And they didn't disappoint...the food was delicious and amazing. The owners and staff were so friendly. I can see why they get such high marks. We ordered the pan seared scallops (the best we've had) and the pork belly Katsu sliders...OMG, the favor party going on was out of this world yummolicious. Can't wait for our next sensational culinary experience...see ya soon.

This is, hands down, our absolute favorite restaurant in Nevada County. The food is always delicious and inventive, especially because of the frequent menu changes, and the entire staff is welcoming and hospitable. The pork confit is a consistent favorite, and the desserts are always excellent. I love the warm, relaxed atmosphere. This is always my choice for a celebratory meal, or just when we want a tasty treat!Kid-friendliness: We have frequently brought our 6- and 9-year-olds along, and they are always treated respectfully and kindly. They love the mac and cheese!
