Black Bean BBQ Catering

We recently had them cater our work event at The Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Originally we were a little hesitant with such a large group to serve BBQ, but they came highly recommended by our event coordinator. We are thrilled we went with them. The food was outstanding! We had over 100 people including small children and everyone's plate was full and they left satisfied. Some said it was the best BBQ they've ever had and we especially love that they serve grass fed meats. We opted for the brisket, chicken, pork ribs and a variety of sides. Even the root veggies were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I would not hesitate to hire Kathryn and her team again. Professional, clean, delicious and reasonably priced, 10/10. Thanks again!

If you want amazing BBQ and service this is it, look no further. So the food is epic but the service is epic. Rarely these days do you get both. Kathryn is my absolute savior. I told her I really despise doing events with food, totally stresses me it. She handled it all and reduced my stress. I will only work with them. I can’t thank them enough! Also they just are good humans. Really amazing people. I wish I took pics of the food. Trust me it’s great. We used Black Bean BBQ Catering for a Super Bowl party at our house. The owners were friendly, attentive to my needs , and easy to deal with. The food was reasonably priced and ready at the time promised. Literally, every single guest asked where we got the food. The main dishes ( brisket , ribs, chicken ) were cooked perfectly and delicious. ( especially the brisket , my personal favorite ). The side dishes ( beans , Mac and cheese, and salad ) were all very tasty. I will definitely be using them again. I highly recommend them for your catering needs.Dave and Nicole Hamilton

Black Bean catered our business holiday party and I can't even begin to explain how wonderful their food is and how delightful they were to work with. Our 50+ attendees were extremely satisfied with the variety of foods and everyone absolutely loved the assortment of meats and sides. The brisket and the chicken were incredible and the homemade mac n cheese was amazing!!!Thank you Kathryn for such a stress free planning process and I can't wait until we get to use your services again. Dear Black Bean Barbecue,You made our wedding a success. That's it, I have to say it flat out, the food made the wedding. I don't know how else I could put it. You would think that as the Groom I would be walking around talking with all my new family about a variety of topics, memories, experiences, well wishes; and yeah, those all happened. But if I had to put my finger on it, the vast majority of conversations went something like this: "Dustin! Congratulations! This brisket is unreal!!!!"...."Congratulations you guys! Why can't all weddings have this brisket??".I can't disagree either, this is clearly and irrefutably the best brisket I've ever had. No, the single best smoked meat I've ever had, and I've had [more than] my fair share of good pit barbecue being a chef for over ten years. My vegan sister even ate it, all of it, and seconds. You can't question results like that.With all that said, all the food was incredible, high quality, fresh, and quickly and expertly handled by Black Bean's catering team. They were extremely courteous, enthusiastic, professional, and just fantastic.I must also speak to the ease of working with the owner Jim. He made the terror that is booking catering [one of the most expensive parts of a wedding or other event] simple and stressless. Yes, stressless. That's not easy to do, nearly a herculean feat when it came to me and my now wife. I want everyone reading this to take a few special considerations here when reading this and other reviews on this page.One, look at the 3/4 $ sign on the price guide for this Yelp page and disregard it. Seriously, completely ignore it's statement. Jim and Black Bean BBQ really are the cheapest way to feed 50+ people, and not by a small margin. If you are considering being an awesome host and giving your guests the best barbecue they have ever had, do yourself a favor and let Jim give you a quote. You will not be disappointed.Two, Jim was by far the most flexible vendor we were in communication with. We changed our guest count, plans, menu, and dinner times a minimum of ten times; all within one to two weeks of the event. He handled this all without hesitation or hiccups. Like I said, simple and stressless.Needless to say, we enjoyed Black Bean Barbecue. Our guests did, and it was one of the best decisions we made about our wedding. Can't recommend them enough.

Greatest BBQ ever. We have used this company 2 years in a row for our annual get together and I can't say enough about them. They are efficient, friendly and the food is wonderful.
